One item finished, taking my time on the next item as I'm still waiting on supplies to completely finish it.

I didn't think I would get to the store until next weekend for supplies, but we happened to pass Joann's today so I made sure to stop. I think I have everything I need now!!! Now, just trying to figure out how to make a certain thing.

I am not sure if anyone here knows this but this is my first swap.   I know that revealing what we are sending is going against one of the big excitements of the swap.  So here's my questions...

How do I contain my "need" to share what I have made so far??

How do all of you who have completed swaps do this??

I drive my bf nuts, "look what I did! Its it cool?! Im going to bore you to death with how I made it" He, thankfully, is a wonderfully understanding man and knows I just get excited about my creativity.

I have a hard time staying quiet because I always have an overwhelming urge to say to my partner, "This is what I'm making. Would you like it?" I have a harder time when everything is finished and I'm waiting for it to arrival. Because I want to know their reaction, whether what I made was what they wanted and so forth.

I normally share my process with my husband and/or sometimes to other crafty online friends so that I don't give away my surprise to my partner. So feel free to talk with me.

I've also seen people post teaser photos of what they've created in the swap's gallery. A teaser photo is a scrambled picture using one or more pictures of the things made.

I agree its hard to contain it.  I share with my kids.  I know I've done good when they know what it is without me saying  Cheesy  You can find a crafty friend here to share too  Grin
