spray painted the back of a cookie sheet, then I covered an empty soup can with fabric for a pencil holder.  I added magnets to the back of the can and a notebook, and also made some with coordinating paper (laminated, of course).  I glued a large split ring to the back with E6000, which I partially covered with felt so as not to mark up the wall, and gave this to my brother and sis in law for Christmas.  (Yeah. it's early. they live out of state & we saw them for Thanksgiving, sooo....)

OMG I love it! Now I can stop saying to myself (too many times) maybe next week when I have extra money and  will get that high price magnetic bulletin board at the store!! Plus it is going in my kitchen. Too prefect!
