Hey! I just wanted to share this AWESOME Prom dress that I made for my friend. She knew that I love to sew, so she hired me to make her senior prom dress. She's a really fun, earthy person, so together we designed and came up with a dress involving peacock feathers and black raw silk. It was stunning to see in person. I just had to show it off

(I also made matching earrings)
ALSO! I entered it into the simplicity prom dress competition... I really hope it wins something.
Let me know what you think!

EDIT: I am so sorry for the terrible picture. I was young and stupid and didn't bother to think that it's important to properly document my work. So I didn't, and now the dress is gone forever. LOLZ.

WOW that was really cool .  I loved the feathers, how did you get them to stay on and did you loose any at the dance?

i hand sewed on every one of those feathers at certain points along the length of it. it took hours, but it was totally worth it. and NO! none of them feel out! in fact that picture was taken after prom! its a sturdy dress... Smiley
