I bought a new computer and started searching for a sleeve. I didn't like what they had in the store and looked around a bit. After figuring out what I want I made a sketch, measured my laptop, rummaged around my mothers scrap fabric box and came up with this:

I used an old camping mat so it is really soft. At first I had to really force my laptop inside, but now a day later it is already much easier. So I guess it just needs to stretch a tiny bit.
Comments much appreciated!

P.S.: the sleeve found a new use! I mean my cat found a new use for it Smiley But I still need it! I guess she wants a pillow.

It looks great!  I really like the way the fastening is done!

I like how clean and neat this is. I want to make a cover like it for my GPS.

Thanks Smiley Hmm I used an old yoga mat, cut out two pieces and lined them (does this make sense?) Thats why it is stiff and also protects my laptop from damage.
By the way the fabric is some sort of jeans.

I wanted to do something similar for my tablet; though, I didn't know how to stiffen fabrics. I've got some floral which is cute yet very soft what can't protect anything - so thank you for your answer and ...

keep on sewing !
