I have always lurked and admired the beautiful yarns spun here. This term I took a spinning class and got to learn how to do it myself! I finally got them all off the spools so I could show you...my first four skeins!

They are aranged from left to right, starting with my first spinning and ending with the one I just finished. I think I've improved!

The first and second yarns are two ply made with white wool rovingreally funky because I was still learning.

The third yarn is a navajo three ply using brown wool roving I was still spinning quite thick, so I could barely get the plied yarn through the orifice! I loved the color, too bad we didn't have more of it to work with.

The fourth yarn is also a navajo three ply, this time using white rolags that I carded myself, about 80 percent wool and 20% alpaca. I finally learned how to spin finer stuff! I've got more of this on the spool too. I have never dyed yarn before, but I would really like to dye this one. I'll test a little bit first though, to make sure I like it.

I'm not sure I've described everything with the right terms here since I'm so new to this, but thanks for looking!

You described everything just right.

Such an improvement from your first to fourth yarns!  Very good on your head!

I like your yarns very much.  Keep showing more!
