I am making makeup bags for all my sisters this year for Christmas. So far I've finished three sets and only have two more to go.
For two of the sets I decided to use http://www.noodle-head.com/2010/04/gathered-clutch-tutorial.html. I simply changed the dimensions so that I could have three different sizes, then boxed the bottom corners to help them stand on their own.

This one is how I think I may "wrap" them.

My favorite combo of them all.


Originally, I had planned on everyone having a different kind of bag, so I started off with this one. I looked at several different tutorials and then just kind of winged it here. Unfortunantly, I had to stuff them with books to get them to stand up nicely.

I like your idea. Your fabric choices are so pretty! I would love to do this for my sister's, but I have way to many sisters! 9 girls at 3 bags each = waaaayyyy to many to make! lol
