These are SUPER easy to create, but really make such a great visual for your party or appetizer table.  I think they'd be especially festive for Christmas since they are little trees. Cheesy

I made them for a baby shower.  I don't think I have any in-progress photos, but it's so easy that you won't even need them.

Supplies
Florist foam tree (is that the actual term for them?) -- I got mine at JoAnns
Foil
Toothpicks
Food -- I used cheese, tomatoes, olives and strawberries
Plate, tray or decorative platter -- I used two square dinner plates.  Square plates make everything look fancier, right? Cheesy

Steps
1)  Wrap your florist foam in foil.  I wrapped mine and then taped the bottom to secure it.
2)  Arrange toothpicks into the foam.  Insert them halfway.  Space them as to leave just enough space for your particular type of food -- you don't want to see gaps between the food. Smiley
3)  Stick your food! Smiley  Fill all the toothpicks until your tree is entirely covered in yummies.
4)  Place your finished tree on a pretty plate or platter for serving.
5)  Enjoy!

I did one or two diagonal rows of toothpicks at a time (step 2), filled them (step 3) and repeated until the tree was fully.  It made it a little easier, as theire were less toothpicks sticking out and attacking me at any given time.

Those look great!  I'm going to bookmark this so the next time I get asked to bring something to a shower, I'll be able to find the instructions quick like.

Those definitely look awesome! I think I would be reluctant to take anything off them though and ruin the pretty! LOL
