My Mum's favourite painter is Thomas Kinkade - http://www.thomaskinkade.com/magi/servlet/com.asucon.ebiz.home.web.tk.HomeServlet .  His artwork is amazing!! Really need to get my hands on some of his Disney cross stitch kits which are beautiful!  I have been promising my Mum for years that I would make her a Kinkade cross stitch and have finally gotten around to it.  I found the kit online, and is called 'Evening Glow'.  It was one of the pre-printed canvas ones that you embellish.  It has a mixture of cross stitch, half stitch and back stitch in either one or two strands to create a multi dimensional feel.  There is also a lot of sparkly blending filament in it - although the sparklyness did not come through that well in the pictures.  Was quite good fun to stitch up and am looking forward to giving it her Smiley

I bet she will love it!  That's fantastic, and a ton of hard work went into it.  Great job!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!
