Each year, Ferret Shelters around the US can post up to 10 of their ferrets online in order to recieve gifts from "santas". You can read through their bios and pick a ferret to be a santa to.

While shelters do need food, medical supplies, and litter...they also need bedding and lots of it. Some of the ferrets in their shelters will remain there for the rest of their lives and a comfy blanket or hammock can make their lives a little better. Also, ferrets love crocheted eggs or fabric balls with jingle bells in them.

I figured that maybe some of the crafty people here would love to santa a shelter ferret. I know I'll be participating!

Is there a size for the crocheted eggs that would work best?  I've got a crap ton of yarn that would be perfect for these eggs, but I've never had a ferret, so I'm not sure what size would work best.
