Are you going to throw that away?! Can I have it?!

We could almost start a whole new thread about crafting with old quilts!  My dear friend just took her 39 year old quilt to the cleaners to see if it can be "saved"...if not, I am going to offer to make her something with the good parts...maybe a pillow sham or two...it would be a shame to toss it just because it has some old parts... Sad

Oh, I agree!  No sense in EVER throwing a piece or part of a quilt away - I could always find something to do with it!!

You guys are inspiring. Not only do the Ninnies rock but the side convo as well. I really want to go buy an old quilt now and make stuffed toys to give to hospitals and stuff. You know, they give them out to the sick kiddos or whatever. I've never done that I've heard of it done and my sister got one once. Or as toy drops! I've never done toy drops but I bet old quilts would make great toys for that!

Oh my goodness, the face on that little Angel Ninni is too freakin' cute! I love it! I don't have a tree-topper because my cat destroyed mine. Maybe I could make a ninni one. Smiley

Okay, I have had quite a day. I was expecting my ninni package tomorrow, and I just figured the mailman would bring it. Seems logical right? But I woke up to footsteps on my roof and was so confused. Was Santa here early? What was going on? I threw on my coat and ran outside to see that a certain somebody was at my place, on my roof here to deliver my Nightmare Before Christmas ninni! But it was not Santa!

Jack Skellington himself, landed on my roof to deliver my amazing Oogie Boogie Ninni gift!

Now, I am still trying to figure out how Jack intercepted the package from the USPS, but he is Jack Skellington. I guess I shouldn't question it, should I? He can do anything. Just like Santa.

Have you ever seen anything so cute? He is such a perfect representation of Oogie Boogie and so well made. Love the stitching and the spider.

And he had more to deliver to me! SkyDamsel also made these adorable Ninni hot pads for me!

It just kept getting better! Her daughter made me this adorabale watercolor painting with Ninni's that match the hot pads! I already hung it in the Kitchen next to the hot pads and they all look so cute together.

And lastly, look at all this candy! I love candy, and many of you might know I have a slight obsession with yetis, so the Bumble candy was awesome. And Sky made a necklace with the bumble mouth! Genius!

SkyDamsel, this was my last swap I will be doing, at least for a long time, and you just made it so awesome. I couldn't have had a better experience or asked for more! Oogie has been in my arms all day like I am a kid again and the extras are just so cute and wonderful. Thank you, thank you! You rock!

Oh, the Oogie-Boogie ninni is so cute! It surprises me every time I see the ninni turned into something new and different.  Love the hot pads, and lucky SpookyPooky gets a painting from Sky's daughter--kids' artwork is always awesome!

Wow!  BEAUTIFUL Ninnie's!
I was stressed that mine hadn't arrived and then lo and behold, I had apparently missed the page mine had been posted on.  It sounds like England is colder then Canada right now so maybe it is good the Ninnie went with a scarf.

The poor Ninni that was sent to me was rejected by customs...I think that he was being a naughty Ninni and was sent back to farmers wife!!

The snow people ninnis are just wonderful!!  that whole post was wonderful...

The art work is incredible...such a treasure...

great job on all of it...

and, how does a ninni get rejected by customs?  He might have had contraband candy...I just learned you can't send certain things with preservatives or oleo to certain countries (they do not want our bad eating habits to affect their citizens! Grin)

I know your not supposed to mail KinderEggs to the USA.  Choking hazard and all....

And Spooky, that photo of your new ninni and the "BIGguy" who brought it is one of the best photos I've ever seen on craftsters!  I can't stop looking at it hehehe.  The ninni is just so perfect for you Grin

I am just so pleased with my package! It really is amazing! Suereal and Babalina, thank you! Jack was a father-daughter project between my Pops and myself. I will post him today on a thread. Smiley Don't wanna get off topic though!

Sometimes I think customs are just mean. I had a package to Spain come back to me three times for no apparent reason. It can be so frustrating!
