I made this LSP costume for a con I recently attended. It was so much fun! This is by far one of the most comfortable costumes I have made, and lots of people recognised who I was, which was fantastic! ^___^

I brought my wig and tights, and my belt was something I already owned, but everything else was handmade ... or at least upcycled! ^___^ The dress is the main bit of the costume - I am very lucky to have a fashion designer as a friend and she helped me to create both the pattern and the dress. It's a simple pattern, but it fits perfectly and is oh so comfy ^___^ The bodice is fully lined and the skirt has three panels to ensure much fluffiness. I also wore a petticoat underneath it to really up the fullness. I personally think it could have been even fuffier ... but I only brough three meters of fabric and I figured I'd probably want to sit down at some point during the day ~___^

I also made my hair clip (felt, glitter mod podge, and a clip backing) ...

and my necklace (shrinky dink, nail polish, sharpies, chain, and jewellery findings) ...

and my bag (glittery vinyl, leather scraps, gold paint, a zip, chain and jump rings, hot glue, and embroidery thread)!

My shoes were ugly and beige when I brought them from an opshop; I have to wear shoe inserts to fix my dreadful feet so I picked out some old lady shoes that I knew would fit my orthotics and also be comfortable. Then I covered them in glitter and mod podge until they were hardly recognisable! I made some giant bows from satin ribbon and added clip on earring backs so that I could fasten them over the straps of the shoes.

And that's that! The only other thing you need for a LSP costume is a good side eye. I think I've got it downpat ~___^

That does look super comfy for running about a con in.

And brilliant with the clip-on earring findings for the bows.
