So about a year ago when we were moving in, our neighbors were moving out.  At that point the only thing
we had in the house was an air mattress, a few dishes, computer, and the important things I could fit in my
car.  We had a house full of stuff coming, but I knew I wanted to change some of it.  I had noticed the family
was moving out, and they put some great stuff on the curb.  Including 4 really great kitchen chairs.  Best part
to me was they were all different from each other.  I've always wanted that.  Anywho, So far I have redone 3
of the 4.  I have only had them for about a year... It's about time I got to work on them! lol

Before- In rough shape, but had great potential.

After- I still have one more to sand and paint.
The lighting isn't great because I took these at night with only my interior lighting. :\ The seat in the now green
chair was too moldy to be saved so I had to replace the entire seat.  It still needs a cushion, but it can be used.
I'm thinking of putting black seat cushions on them all.

I'm super proud of my chairs, and so in love with them.  I can't wait to finish the last one.

Ooh, so lovely! Cheesy

I'm especially interested in the one you did the webbing on.  How easy/expensive was that?  I just finished redoing a found chair.  I was so excited because it looks fantastic, but, sadly, it is as uncomfortable as it is lovely. Undecided  It has a wood bottom on it (recushioned & covered), & I am considering redoing the bottom as webbing.  Which is what brought me here today & how I found your post. Wink

Anyhoo, good job!

Anyhoo, good job!

It was super easy, and super cheap.
I went to the GW in search of wide belts.  You know the kind that is woven together and do not stretch.
I just so happen to find 3 Karate belts.  I spent a total of $6 on belts, $2 each, but only used 2 of them.
what I did was line up the edge of the belt with the edge of the chair, and punched in a few staples with
a staple gun.  I then draped the belt across the chair and placed it under my foot, and made sure it was
pulled tight.  I then stapled the other side, and trimmed it.  Repeat.  Make sure to position your body in
a way that it keeps the chair on 4 legs, or have someone hold it so it does not come flying at your face
when you pull the belt (or whatever you use for webbing) tight.

Good luck with your chair.

Looking great so far! And I think you're right, a black cushion will go with any color, and give just a small sense of unity to the odd collection, perfect! And you could put a unique design on each cushion, also! OR, you could do the same design, in different colors! Cheesy
