This is what holiday break is good for!  Getting lots of crafting done!  I'm up to 40 projects!  I will probably make it to 41 or 42 this year with a few more days before we go back to school!

I was determined to get to 50 this year (even if I didn't do m ost of the ones on my list!), so I went digging for anything I hadn't posted.
Here's a couple of necklaces made from melted sunglass lenses.

And a small shadowboxy thing I made. The butterflies are different types of thin cardboard. I had a little bit of the stone spray paint, so I used it on a couple.

That makes 51!

I'm going to join again for 2013 but I think I will be more productive this coming year because I'm back to work (was on mat. leave) so I'll have more "free" time Cheesy lol

Lots of great projects this year.  Congrats everyone!

I'm joining again in 2013. And plan to actually make what's on my list, and not "everything else". Maybe I'll limit myself to one swap a month or ... only if I finish a project. Something like that.

Some people posted food items ... so, I just want to share.... I cooked my first ever whole turkey a couple days ago!! The one and only time I'd touched a turkey was more than 20 yrs ago, my Mom made me hold it while she stuffed it, and it was cold and dead and grossed me out. So I never touched one again. Two days ago I put on my vinyl gloves and did it again (didn't feel nearly so bad with gloves!). Maybe it wasn't the best ever turkey (my uncle does a very good smoked turkey!), but the gravy was the best. And my turkey was pretty close.

I put a chicken broth and veggie broth to marinade it, and the last of a bottle of white wine. Then a quartered onion, a carrot and rib of celery. Oh: and cooked the turkey breast down because I was told that makes it moister. Technically I was told to turn it over halfway through cooking, but at that point the turkey is too hot to pick up, so I left it. It was so tender the meat was falling off the bone. I'm going to try it again the next family holiday get together we have, and host it at my apartment.

Sorry ... no pics. Wasn't planning on sharing, but it is a big deal Cheesy

Cooking, especially if it is a new recipe or not something you usually make, it indeed a project!

My MIL taught me to cook to turkey breast side down as well!  Not the prettiest but so moist and tender!

Congrats!  We cook turkey at least one time in the summer and then for Thanksgiving...that is, my hubby does...I can't stand touching flesh things... Cheesy
