Gorgeous hat!  Cute monkey, too...but I have to say that hoop is my favorite!

Everyone is getting wristwarmers for Christmas...includi ng me! Made with Madeline Tosh cashmere and wool, size 5 DPNS, vintage buttons.  These were my first with a gussetted thumb...so easy it was ridiculous!

I'm totally envious of all the yarn crafters who celebrate Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere. Hats and scarves and mitts are much less appreciated here in the Southern Hemisphere where it's 95F or above outside. Of course, I mostly make amigurumis, but there's an age limit to when stuffies aren't cool any more (and then another one when they are again - sadly I have a few nephews in the null age zone)

I love the knit-knit-purl motif on the cuffs of those mitts! I made a cowl like that and it's such a cute pattern!

Thanks, guys! The keyboard button covers were fiddly. No craft store in town carried the blanks, so I ordered a bag 0f 100 from Fire Mountain Gems for about $15.00. I used pliers to break off the sticky out bit. I bought the cheap 2 part resin from the craft store, the stuff that turns white when it sets up. Plus, that's the kind that sets up *fast*.  Like, sets up in 10 minutes fast. I filled the space in back of the keys with resin to get a level surface, because there's not enough surface area to glue on the button covers otherwise. I tried just setting some in the resin while it was still liquid, but it didn't always hold. They tended to pop off when I did that, so I used E6000 to glue the metal button covers to the filled keys. I  used maybe a quarter of the resin to make 100? Maybe a bit more. But I'll use the rest of the resin on other projects.
It turned out to be a bigger project than I thought! Not the simple little thing I thought it would be. If I'd known it would be this involved, I probably wouldn't have made them.
I have found some mice have all over circuit board with a cutout, and some barely have any in them-it's all luck. I cut out stiff paper for the back, and used a small amount of velcro so it could be opened to change the picture, and made a small stand to hold it up.
