so many awesome projects since I last checked this thread. Chaos reigns in the Kookaloo_Starr household and I'm not coping or crafting much or well or participating in my online groups either   Cry
Winter is a dark time for me mentally as well as physically.

However I have made this dreamcatcher for my oldest son Josh. He's just redecorated his spare room as a relaxation/mediation room and asked if I could make him a dreamcatcher, never made one before but of course I said YES  Cheesy

I had confirmation today that one of my dotees in round 13 of the Dotee swap has been received so here is a pic of that too.

The theme I chose was "cats" and this kittys markings are made up of names of different breeds of cat  Grin

I have also added a row of octagons to a blanket I made with a little help from my friends. A while ago my husband was in hospital and a group of crafty friends surprised me with some ready made pieces and the yarn to complete this blanket for myself as a comfort and a distraction. I decided recently it needed to be slightly bigger to hang out on my new sofa bed  Wink I call it my HappyGhan. it is made with Caron Simply Soft (which we don't get over here) in the brightest colours they could find and I love it SOOOOO much  Grin

Pics aren't great I'm afraid as I have shakey hands and a rubbish cellphone camera but I hope you get the general gist of things  Roll Eyes

that1girl: holy coffee cozies! Looks like you have enough to keep your family's coffee hot for the next ten years! I love the argyle and owl ones best. I also love your cute bobby pins.
katara: Your crocheted stash bag is very pretty.
sheepBlue: I love your mini artwork. And I'm crazy jealous of your screen printing abilities.
indigo_roses: The biscotti looks delicious!
mellybelly81: The freezer paper stencil looks really good!
AlishaMisha: The sushi is adorable! And I'm fascinated by the concept of Travel Bugs. Must go research.
ehinders: Woman, can I just borrow you for a couple days? I mean seriously, your furniture is amazing. I love the burlap chair and the chandelier.
fantasticmio: Love the charity hats. Also, the swirly square blanket thingy is pretty awesome.
Kookaloo_Starr: I love your HappyGhan and the story behind it.

Thanks, always! Hehe, yeah, I do decorate with a lot of blue. What can I say? I'm just drawn to all things blue. I'm actually not sure if I'm going to keep these mugs or give them away. Our cupboard runneth over. Cheesy

Oh wow, cinnamon!  I'm loving the mugs!  I so want to try your paper snowflakes as stencil technique!  Did you glaze the white first and then the blue?

Go for it! All the color was with underglaze on leather hard clay. (I used a white clay this time.) I misted the mug with a spray bottle to get it damp and then stuck the snowflake on. Then I added the underglaze. Then you want to let if dry for a bit before peeling off the stencil. After bisque firing, I glazed them with a plain old clear glaze.

Have you been making any pottery lately? I'd love to see it!

Cinnamon teal....  I seriously want to be adopted into your family just so I can get a handthrown mug!  Cheesy  Those a GREAT!  I have an ever-growing collection of handmade coffee mugs.  Roll Eyes

I've finished 1 stocking, the outside of the second, a crocheted shrug and started a shrug for myself.  Need to work on the sweater some more too.

My class has been over but I've been slowly finishing up the stuff that I had done during the class.  I have a bowl, mug, and a bunch of buttons left to glaze and then I'm done until I can afford to take another class, hopefully next year.  But, I do have one bowl and some buttons that are done that I can post.  I don't have pictures of the bowl yet, but here are the buttons so far all in the same glaze, creeping blue.  I have some green ones that I glazed and need to pick up, hopefully tomorrow.

Underglazes kinda scare me, but only because I haven't played with them at all yet.  There are some studio ones that I can use, but haven't felt brave enough or confident enough to try 'em out.  Perhaps next round!
