Is that made with that new ruffle yarn? I'm so confused by that and don't think I will use it at all, but I really like how your shawl came out!!! Its very pretty and I love the colours!

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

It was made using Premier Yarns Starbella, which we have carried at the Michaels I work at since before June, anyway.

Judging from the projects for this pattern on Ravelry, it seems like just about any ruffle yarn will work, but I found with my experiments, that the wider the ruffle yarn is, the better it works.

I made a black and white one with Red Heart Sashay and I couldn't get it very big - the problem with this pattern for this yarn is that the more rounds you do the more ruffly it gets, so the amount of yarn you need increases exponentially.

In this rainbow one here, I used two balls.  When I added the second one, I never got all the way around with it - crazy, no?

Anyhow, it's a really easy pattern, though it seems iffy at first.  It's just slip stitches.

I finished 2 Halloween costumes {Mickey and Minnie}, 12 felt piggy banks, 3 pairs of pyjama pants, and I'm working on an advent calendars

I'm also working on projects with my nieces for Christmas.

I'll have to revisit my list and make some changes.

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

So who is making their Holiday Cards this year?
What are you doing to make them?

I am making Garlands of these trees and wrapping them around a basic card and giving them as card/gifts

I am making them by dip dying coffee filters in food coloring and water and then drying them scrunched up on a cookie sheet

They come out wonderfully blotchy and then I fold them in half and begin to fold them into the tree shape

I will be putting two of these back to back and buying some fancy multi colored green based sewing thread I will run them through the sewing machine and do a line of 5 of them.

I feel so incredibly slack...  granted, I had my dominant hand in a cast for 2 months....  No Halloween crafting and that's my favorite holiday.  I'm stretching to get to 50.  My goal was to make it to 50 this year.  This is the third year I've tried and I've improved but not to the level I want!  I need to make smaller projects.  Roll Eyes  Sorry for being whiny.  Undecided

That rainbow shawl is pretty!  And I like the coffee filter christmas trees!

A couple of October projects... My new banner for my craft booth and one of the teacup bird feeders I made.

This is the whole booth in case you were wondering.

You can see a couple more pics and read a bit more about it on my blog.  http://twasbrilligand.blogspot.com/2012/10/craft-fair_30.html
