Thanks for answering jillybeans!! I don't know anything about knitting but I love my robes!! I knew you made the avatar but I didn't realize it was from something you knitted! Now I love it even more.

hehe!  Yay!!!

Ok, so my husband tried the pickles that I made using Missing Willow's recipe.  He has been foaming at the mouth to try them for weeks (keeping a mental record of when he could open one), and snagged a jar of whole pickles and took them to work yesterday to share with his coworkers.  They were an absolute hit!  They all loved them!  Hubby thought the flavors were excellent, not too sweet, dilly, or spicy!  So, if you all are looking for an AWESOME pickle recipe, you should definitely give her's a shot!

You Americans are crazy.  Roll Eyes Ugly Xmas sweaters are such a weird thing, really. Even discounting the fact that Christmas in Australia is usually 95-100°F, and we play cricket on the beach instead of making snowmen, why on Earth would you want to wear an ugly sweater? Can someone please explain this to me?

Really elaborately decorated Christmas sweaters used to be a common gift back in the 80s and 90s.  From my perspective, it seemed the only people who wore them out in public were either preppy women or old women.  Or sometimes their husbands.   Cheesy  Although I confess I have an elaborately decorated Halloween sweater I wore every year!  Fast forward and the thrift shops and closets are full of these monstrosities.  Folks hold ugly Christmas sweater parties where it's an obligation to wear the worst one you can find.  Prizes and everything.

I had a hideous christmas sweater, and I took a pair of nail scissors to cut off the beads. I ended up with half a cup of seed beads!

HUZZAH!  I have located my camera again!  I'll get the cast redrawn tomorrow (the drawing disappears with wear and tear), take some pictures and get them up ASAP.  The cast comes off on Thursday morning!  WOOT!

In crafty news - I'm on swap sabatical for quite a very long time I think.  I have a sweater to finish (I REALLY hope it fits him), an afghan to do for Christmas, a shawl for myself and golf club covers for a co-worker.  Plus the upcoming New Years Resolution to put things in an Etsy store.... again....  *sigh*  Anywho - I shall post sometime this week!
