Lana and I need to get cracking on her steampunk outfit.  We're going to try to make the rocket boosters out of 2L bottles, a ray gun, and some sort of aviator outfit...got the googles and hat already.

I've been a horrible craftster the last few months. I started a new work and it's way more stressfull than I thought it would be. The last three months I did only 3 very smal projects.

So my husband's birthday is on Tuesday, and I've decided that if the project isn't finished now it's just going to have to be pushed back till Christmas or just not done at all. Here is my list I posted awhile ago with the projects I completed.

9 out of 14 isn't bad. I had started on the checkers, but totally messed up the checker board. I was going to redo it, but it took me several hours to just lay it out, and I really don't feel up to that again. So totally pushing it back. As for the needle punch it's probably 60% done, but I just don't think I can finish it in time. 

Now I just need to find a camera and get some pictures of the finished items to post.

A friend of mine returned some old (15 yrs old) paintings of mine from when I was in art school to me, some I love, some I forgot I had done, some that were not very good. I am incorporating some of them into my wall of crow art, altered in different ways. One thing I know I miss seriously painting.
I am using different cut out silhouettes of crows in different materials over some of the art, another i am using a mix of matte and gloss puffy paint to draw a huge crow over part of the painting and another I will lay out a few large crow cutouts and loosely spray paint over them in green then black and finally clear purple to try imply feather color while leaving the painting untouched under the cut outs.  I am going to use one of the themeless altered puzzles I made before and add some images of crows and ravens, feathers and claws to it.  Another set of cutouts from black paper I am doing involve zentangles and doodling in gel pens and prismacolors.
this is what started it all, some halloween wall clings I chose for my window (these are the curtains I made) I have another Identical window around a corner from this one and I want to do a few more crows on it and the incorporate the corner into the theme by doing lots of crow art.

queenninjamonkey - I made a Peppermint Buttler hoop for one of the ongoing hoopla swaps - he just lends himself to a hoop so well.  Yours is super cute as is all of your other adventure time items
