I have been MIA from this site recently - sorry! I had hernia surgery, passed my dissertation proposal, have a sick husband (going to a cardiologist soon to see what is up), my eldest daughter is packing up to move away to college, my youngest is starting both 11th grade and the local community college, I am working on three different projects at work, and I am extremely broke. I ended up so stressed out that I pulled back from everything and everyone, but I am trying to pull myself back into the land of the active and positive! I have started working on a couple of craft projects trying to get myself into the swing of things - I hope to have some pictures sometime soon...

Lots of lovely projects done here! Silvermoon - love the yip yips! And congratulations mellybelly81!

I love the YipYip monster and the zombie hand cross stitch!

I have been mostly working on stuff for the Adventure Time swap while finally watching Dr. Who. I'm halfway through the 2nd season and loving it!  Grin

I've been trying a lot of new recipes lately too, though I haven't been taking pics. I made a Carb free lasagna, breakfast cookies, zucchini tots, broccoli and cheese bites and zucchini bread in plain, chocolate, pineapple and lemon.

Help needed. I made a batch of choc peanut butter fudge out of frosting and pb (duh) but the frosting was too dark and rich, and I can't stomach the fudge on it's own. I want to make fudge chunk cookies, but can't find a good recipe. Does anyone have a good one? My Google-fu isn't working today Sad

I am working on making prayer (blessing) flags inspired by these,
http://theprayerflagproject.blogspot.com/
I am trying to mostly work them as if they were art journal pages, problem is I love the amazing colors in calico material I have found in Fat Quarters (each 18x21" quarter makes 6 flags) but they are not so easy to write, draw and paint on.  I have decided to buy a few yards of white calico so the weight will be the same and alternate the flags from painted and drawn art journal ones and simple colored ones with one or 2 words on them like "have hope" or "Enjoy Life" done in paint, embroidery or bleach pen.

When I get my first long strand done and Halloween out of the way I am going to have a prayer flag making party where everyone brings 1 fat quarter and I supply the art supplies and ribbon to hang them.  It would be a party for at least 6 people and each person would make 6 simple flags and trade them out til they have one of each color... you could have more but it is a bit of a pain.

I am also hoping to make at least 5 strands of them mostly out of the simple colored ones and one light one in the middle with a more detailed blessing for each person

thanks for all the congratulations Smiley I am getting back into "normal" life slowly as i'm feeling less sick and have a few things to post when I can get on the computer (instead of on my phone) and upload the pics.

I've been laughing along with the fig jam revelation. I too didn't realise it was only Aussie and its been making me giggle and my husband thinks I'm a little crazy laughing at my phone.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.
