I got motivated to do three more rows of my Dr. Who scarf...seriously, I only have 5 more rows to go now but those last few just aren't calling me!  I might do a big push this weekend! ha ha I need maybe 10 minutes!

You're scaring me!  I haven't started mine yet. I want to buy my yarn in one hit, but I can't find an online seller selling kits of acrylic, only wool. And a scarf that long is going to drag on the ground and get dirty. Something else I want to do is write an android app similar to County, but customised to the DR scarf, so it tells you when to change colours as well. But that's not very crafty really, and I have to teach myself programming language first.

No sooner had I posted my list, than I already wanted to change it lol. Wanted to make a Nyan cat guitar strap or headband instead of a bookmark, because I don't like chunky bookmarks, but it's ok, I'll persevere. I'll just put the bookmark in my shop window and make myself a guitar strap later.

ah, need to add to my list the awesome first time pie that my daughter and I made after going blackberry picking with Ptarmic wumpus.  Alas I have no pic.    Maybe I'll do an action shot instead?  I got the recipe from epicurious after PW told me to go there.  LOL.

I am going to add a Nyan cat scarf to my list for my daughter's friend.  She told me today that she wants to be known as a Nyan cat expert.  LOL.

Still working away on crocheted bags for Lana's farewell present for her teacher's this June.    I'll post pics when they are all done.  We're making wood buttons for them too.

I'm up to 30 projects and so very proud of myself for doing so!  I finished my knitted chevron shawl on July 29.  I'll get pictures posted ASAP.  And now I'm working on another knitted shawl that I saw at one of my LYSs.  I promise - I'm a crocheter at heart!  But I've become a knitter too!    whoo hoo!

silvermoon--I used the list of Vanna White acrylic yarns posted on the link that I got from fantasticmio's post of her scraf!  Wool would be way too expensive for me!  Yeah--the scarf is not really wearable, just a challenge for me...it is over 14 feet long, thick and heavy...I believe Dr. Who #9(tom Baker) was very tall...over 6 feet...

Can't wait to see those shawls, FFrogg!!

(uhm, I really am not checking your lists that carefully yet... ...whatever is posted by next Wednesday, August 8, is who will be eligible to compete...and out of those, whoever gets done! WHATEVER IS POSTED AS OF AUGUST 8th is the list I will print and follow!   Clear now?

Thank you to everyone for their kind words and encouragement. I haven't figured out what I'm doing yet but I'm keeping busy and had an interview for something big so I just need to keep doing what I'm doing for now! Plus I joined two swaps and am considering a third which always makes me feel happy

Smashu!  I think your fabric design will be wonderful!  You must keep us informed!  I love splurging and buying a few yards of fabric from there...a lot of the prints are too cutesy for me, but I love the bold and graphic ones...

Thanks for the link jillybeans, and MissingWillow your pickles look fantastic I'm going to have to try them too. I really want to get my son's aunt's recipe for pickled green tomatoes, they are super delicious.

Also, thank you for all the compliments on my needle punched Monarch butterfly. My Mom loved it so much I'm going to do a couple different butterflies for her for Christmas.

I'm still here!  I really need to update my list.  And I think I'm going to join in for the August challenge, but I need to figure out my list.  The push would be nice to get a few things done before I start grad school at the end of the month.

I got one of my five done!  Spiced honey.  Each jar has a sliced lemon, 6 whole cloves and a cinnamon stick.  I simmered all that for 2 minutes in honey then filled jars and processed it for 15 minutes.  It's going to be Christmas gifts for the tea drinkers in my family.
