I made my first Christmas stocking.  It was mostly successful, in that It's an excellent size for a stocking:

fantasticmio - very cute! I believe that way back when they just used their socks, so I would say it's the perfect size!

Wow, those are such beautiful patches, sheepblue!  I'm quite in love the holy hand grenade!  Makes me want to do a whole monty python themed bag!  ^_^

katara, love the spiders!  They are creepy and beautiful all at the same time!

My partner, Averia, in the OWS 83 received the shirts I sent her so now I can share 'em with you! 


She liked the antlered cat shirt I made for teachart, so I made one for her in a different style.  ^_^


And a Serenity shirt that she had pinned.  I knew my husband would love it, too, so I made one for him as well.  ^_^  All three shirts were done using the freezer paper stenciling method and fabric paint.

Your Xmas stocking/sock looks very soft & comfy Fantasticmio, I would make another to match and wear them round the house 

Ffrogg - I love to see laundry drying on the washing line and hate to have to use the dryer in summer. We've had so much rain recently I haven't had the choice and miss that line dried feel!

The snake bubble blowers are a water bottle with the bottom cut of and a sock pulled over that end and rubber banded on. Then you just dip it in some dish soap mixed with water, we tried food coloring too but it really didn't show up.

The sponge balls are just dollar store sponges cut into strips and tied together.

Which Michaels is moving, Ffrogg526?  Love your clay skills, those bottles are great!  I made my first doll earlier this year, too, Kookaloo_Starr.  I'll have to look for that book at my library, nice job.   

Its the Michaels right near my house in Charlotte.  Just off of 485.  Its moving over to Rea Road. 

We've got power coming and going.  Lots of blinks here, having to reset the clocks almost daily.  But not nearly as bad as going without for over a week.

sorry I've been a bit quiet of late. My son had a virus last week and ended up spending a night in hospital due to a fever that they couldn't find a reason for (ended up being the virus) and as I spent the night next to him in a non-reclining recliner, it has taken me a while to not only get back into the swing of things at home, but catch up on sleep! Oh and I've been spending all my non-child caring hours knitting gifts, so here's a pic.


It's by Justine Turner on ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/aviatrix-baby-hat  and I have made one without the strap. It was so easy, even for a novice like me. I did the strapless one on larger needles, that's why it looks a bit different.

I am also working on a beanie for my nephew, but not quite finsihed yet.

Can anyone tell me how to decrease the size of pics? I have some of a swap package that are JUST over the 2MB and was wondering if I can resize instead of taking new pics?
