I love those tire covers, makes me wish I had a jeep!  Cheesy

Yesterday was Backyard Water Day, my son and I do this every year. We try and mix it up a little every year, new crafts/experiments, we always do water balloons, silly string and lots of pool time. One year we did the Mentos and Coke thing, my son had no idea, it was hilarious! Anyway this year I filled 200 water balloons, made sponge balls to play with in the pool, I made snake bubble blowers and we also made cake balls.

Beware I'm about to bombard you with pics. I made a doll  Grin Grin Grin
I borrowed "Introduction to Cloth Dolls by Jan Horrox" from the library and made this lovely lady - Mrs.Pinchbeck. She's a combination of two of the patterns from the book and looks nothing like either of them  but has a personality all of her own.
She is 19" tall and made entirely from stash. This was my first attempt at painting a face and sculpting her features. The book tells you to make a few and see which you like best but I just made the one.

her arms and legs are button jointed to the torso and her knees and elbows are tied.

I gave her bracelets and a wristwatch & her hands are poseable thanks to pipecleaners in the fingers & thumb

and I made Ugg style boots to disguise the ugly job of did if making her feet  Embarrassed

She's not the best doll in the world but she IS the best one I've made  Wink

Great job on the doll Kookaloo!  And all the yarny goodness is AWESOME sarahj!  I love your tire covers!  Just wondering, how long to they last on an actual SUV?  I was thinking I may have to try one for my Jeep.

Alrighty folks - this is what happens when your dryer takes its own summer vacation!  At least its summer and not the middle of winter.

Christi Friesen inspired sea turtle bottle.  This is one side of the triangle shaped bottle.

The swirly ocean waves around the sea turtle.

Another triangle shaped bottle (Michael's is moving and they have LOTS of things on sale!).  This one is a bit more masculin.  Green and Purple skinner blend with bright green accents.

I've had mine on since the end of December and it's still just fine. I take it off to wash it every so often.  It is fading though..much lighter blue than it use to be.

Well, I'm back after a pretty long absence, and I've decided to edit my list at the 6-month mark Smiley Knowing how busy things have been with work so far this year, I think I need to be more realistic...

1. Horde freezer paper stencil tee (WoW)
2. Hem and alter work pants before buying new ones
3. Beanies from two old sweaters
4. "Eat or GTFO" apron
5. Screenprint East Texas shirt for Andrew (Yudu!)
6. Edwardian bolero jacket from an old blazer
7. Entry sign "Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk"
8. Cut up old pile of clothes/make rag rug
9. Thread wire trash baskets with clothes yarn
10. Steampunk birdcage clock from thrifted clock
11. Ceiling branches wrapped with Xmas lights for light fixture
12. Paint flatware handles
13. Teapot lamp
14. Tiny clothesline
15. Photo slide pendant lampshade
16. Perpetual calendar
17. Little garden plot matchbox
18. Personal bookplate stamps
19. Letterpress birthday cards
20. Smash book
21. Circle zipper pouches
22. Simple felt hairpins: crown, crab, cute animals/food
23. Thumb wars puppet set--Mexican Luchadores
24. Canvas trash bag for car
25. Fabric gum chain bracelets
26. Fabric Christmas bow bra
27. Curtain for underneath bathroom sink
28. Tudor Rose purse
29. Yoki the fat dragon (Etsy pattern)
30. Stuffed Alot
31. Cross-shaped folding laptop bag
32. Dad's wooden sign
33. Bottle cap base DDLM dolls
34. HP spool dolls
35. Begin wee house project
36. White on white candles in teacups
37. Fabric-covered vintage suitcase
38. Refinish and hang chandelier
39. Jar diorama
40. "Heterosexist Bullshit" carved stamp
41. Melted pony bead pendants
42. Horde etched shot classes set
43. Molasses bread
44. Silver plate spoon jewelry
45. Poly clay wing earrings
46. Lace and fabric wrapped bangles
47. Headdress rings
48. Finish Billy Madison cross-stitch for Donny
49. Hark! A Vagrant comic hoop
50. Experiment with combining finger-knit scarves

Wow, it's crazy to think that all of this was on my original list, but none of it has been done Sad I think I'll have to slow down on the swapping if I want to get this stuff done! I've also decided not to include swap items on this list unless they fulfill a specific item...it just distracts me from the fact that I haven't done anything on my own list.

Can anyone tell me how to get this into my signature without just pasting the whole URL? Like to make it just say "50 Projects in 2012" as a link and not have the URL next to it? Thanks Cheesy

hgddm, to get what you want in your sig, put url=http://(the url of your shop)]50 in 2012 [/ url]. Just with a bracket at the beginning, and without the spaces and parentheses. Smiley

sarahj2001 Lovely, lovely yarn there.

QueenNinjaMonkey The soap snake cracks me up! How did you make it?

Kookaloo_Starr Your doll is great, love her expression.

Ffrogg526, can we assume you live in tank tops? Lol Pretty bottles too. I love turtles.

Thanks to everyone who wished me well with my hand splint. My hand feels so much better now than it has in years.

I've finished a pair of socks, a skirt and two more swap items recently. May not be able to get pictures for quite a while though.
