Ffrogg--what a fun skirt!  I really like the hem scalloped like that.

Sheep--ha ha I barely recognize some of those whimsies we sent!  They sure look way better painted...I just love them...also, the mini taxidermy...I really want to do that for a few people I know!  The lino cut is wonderful!

abbeeroad--love the girly super capes!  Also, how sweet to do crafts with your children!

Beautiful lapghan...the colors are very soothing!

I think a small pouch is a good idea!  I have several patches but kind of lost interest...I might have enough for a pouch!

Lovely job, mio and katara!

I really like the color combination on the lapghan.

And the TM cosmetic pouch is great.

Abbyroad, I love the girl's superhero cape!

So much cool stuff! Me, I'm way behind-on reading, posting, and making. I've been tackling the overgrown yard before the blistering heat of summer sets in. And, I need to pick some things from my list and get cracking-but now I have a swap to craft for. I can resist anything but temptation..

On the afghan front!  I've finally started sewing squares together.  I have 6 more squares to make.  Please understand that when I say squares...  I mean 2 and a half foot squares.  Whoo hoo!  The end is in sight!  But I have until the end of October to get it finished.  Cheesy  I'm just excited that I've started putting it together and have more than half the squares finished.

Isn't it nice to see daylight on a big project, Ffrog?  I've just about finished a blanket for my sister -- with the end in sight, I decided to cast on a lapghan for her partner, so they can both snuggle down and watch TV.  Now I have to finish two big things!

I love the taxidermy magnets!  While I like a lot of the projects that are just pretty, I love it when they can serve a purpose, too.  I have magnets, I have action figures....

The lino cut is great, too.  Not to be too derivative, but I know I have the tools for that somewhere as well....

Still struggling to finish projects big and small.  I've knit identical toddler dresses in two different sizes -- which are just waiting for me to learn how to double crochet the edging....  a shawl just waiting for me to finish the top row... a set of sock monkey wine bottle bag awaiting appropriate eyes.... new garden beds waiting for a load of top soil... amended garden beds in need of mulch.... a back porch reveal awaiting a paint touch up.... front porch railings that need a coat of paint and a dry, free day to apply it....

On the positive side, I *have* finished some things; 2 batches of bacon jam, repurposed tins for gifts, a photo album for my mother, several terrariums and succulent "gardens" in repurposed tins, a triple batch of pulled pork packed up in the fridge.

This weekend is the big plant swap and I'm still potting things up.  A month ago I didn't know what I could take; now I have about 40 things ready and about that again still to pot up.

Will post pictures soon!

(Did I miss the challenge for May?)
