Thanks waggonswest!

meleriffic - Tapestry crochet is also called Jaquard or (in knitting) fair isle.  Its working 2 or more colors at once and twisting them to make a certain color appear on the outside of the work.  I'm going to use cotton yarn and make some drink coasters I think.  It can be worked back and forth or in a circle.  Everything I've ever seen says that its better to work in a circle.  So I'm thinking that circle about 4 or 5 inches across with a piece of cork adhered to the bottom should do the trick.

Almost 1/2 way through the month, so time to form a list

1. Colors: grass (green), sky (blue), sun( yellow/orange), clouds (white/off white)--dreaming of laying out in a field looking at the clouds go by
       -quilt

2. Something for yourself
       -bed topper
       -fitted sheet
       -quilt

3. Strictly art...ATC's, paintings, etc.  Think projects that are not necessarily functional...just art...
       -cards

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

Oh thanks so much for the reminder JK! I've been so busy lately I forgot the challenges!

I have a bunch of stuff done but most of it I can't post yet because it's a swap package. Unfortunately that'll have to wait. But I've been so consumed with making stuff for my etsy shop and I have lots of that to post I guess.

More junk canvases! My whimsy supply is dwindling down again lol. But I think I might take a break after these - I kinda whimsied myself out oops. (Thanks to LimeRiot and AIMR!! The whimsies you sent me came in handy!!)

Should have done the clover in green (duh) but that didn't occur to me until after painting...it's just as well. I have an awesome grass green spray paint but it's way transparent so it would have been a pain to use.

I also did an awesome lino carving that was originally going to be my "art" for the 4x6 art swap, until I got a better more exciting idea lol.

And some more faux taxidermy stuff - this time magnets! Love them =)

Ooh and a big thing I've been procrastinating forever - designing my business cards. The flamingos are from a screen print I did last winter. I think it captures my style nicely haha.

I think that's it for now. I'll have more to post once my swap package gets sent off and received!

sheepBlue I am in love with everything you just posted!! Wow! I love the faux taxidermy magnets, what a great derivative of the wall hangings! I might even try this out myself;) (with all dinosaurs of course lol). The lino carving is also amazing. I've been interested in trying the technique out so I'm curious. How long did it take you to do something so detailed?

The lino carving took a good afternoon to do. It's only 4x6 though so not super huge. The part that took the longest to figure out was the background though - I knew I didn't want it to be blank.

Great skirt, Ffrogg! Great action shot!

Love the canvases (scissors are my fave), and the lino cut is amazingly detailed, sheepBlue!

I've got some crafty momentum going on that I'm trying to maintain.  I have a monster birthday this weekend that will require a bit of creative energy, and I can crash after that!

Kiddie Cape, 'cause girls are superheros too!:

Couple beaded necklaces:

I had some help with these last two. Mother's Day gifts for Grandma and Great Grandma (painting done by my crafty kiddo).

Tin Can Windsocks:

Ffrogg--what a fun skirt!  I really like the hem scalloped like that.

Sheep--ha ha I barely recognize some of those whimsies we sent!  They sure look way better painted...I just love them...also, the mini taxidermy...I really want to do that for a few people I know!  The lino cut is wonderful!

abbeeroad--love the girly super capes!  Also, how sweet to do crafts with your children!
