katara - I line my bags too. It gives it a neater look rather than having the backs of all the patches exposed, as well as reinforcing the bag itself like AIMR said.

AIMR - dare I say those dog biscuits look yummy? lol. In any case I bet the pooch who is getting them will love them.

Abbee - love the wookie plush! lol. It captures Chewie's personality perfectly.


So I've been busy this week opening my etsy shop!!! (Not advertising, just have to share the excitement!) But now I find myself flooded by requests for one specific bag which is a bit of a bummer as I only had one and now it's going to take me a while to make more. So I'm going to be buried deep in scrap fabrics and embroidery floss and polyfill til I can bang some more bags out! Will someone check on me once in a while to make sure I don't get buried alive lol.

I sent out a swap package earlier this week, so hopefully she will receive soon so that I can post some pics.

I have been absolutely swamped at school (they want my proposal in 3 weeks and I still have a ton to do) so except for that last swap item my crafting has been on hiatus. I am itching to do something creative...

I haven't made a Teesha Moore bag. But my wall hanging was lined. It was no easy task because my squares weren't straight. I would think it wouldn't be too bad in a bag with straight edges. I'd do like a drop in lining. Course I don't know how you'd finish the top. That's why I opted for a wall hanging.

Oh my, I've been such a slacker. I read this thread everyday, but haven't accomplished much crafting so far.
Everyone is making such awesome things, it gets my mind racing in all different directions. But the my daughter goes racing in all different directions too, and that's the end of that 

I bead a bit on the train on my way to work, so I made some more beaded rings, I'll try to get some pictures today.
One of my goals this year is to try to cook more and try out more recipes.
I tried this simple tomato sauce recipe this week and it turned out pretty yummy:

I might make some modifications next time (I did follow the comments and kept the onion, no reason to discard a perfectly yummy bit), to better match the taste buds of thus household, but I will be making this again.

April was full of getting things ready for my weekend away. 
My swap project was an epic fail :'(I need to redo it this week.
My truck broke down, so all extra funds are going to that
I lost a filling and it needed a root canal and crown, funds not needed pulled for truck will be going to that
I need to have all 4 wisdom teeth - luckily my parents are helping me out here.

So all in all, ALL craft projects must come from on hand stuff and I won't be swapping to much.

On the plus, the party was great and although I didn't get everything done, the stuff not finished can be used my the next party.

I love a simple tomato sauce!  I can't wait to get my tomato plants into the garden in a few weeks!

The Dr. Who pillow is wonderful...I think it is fun to have projects from a movie or show you like to show your enthusiasm!  ha ha showing our geek side!
