It's been so long since I've posted, but I've been following everyone's posts regularly.  I am simply awed by everyone's creativity -- and productivity!  I don't know how you all do it all!  (And special congratualtions to meleriffic -- that baby looks like a wonderful work-in-progress!)

I've been really overwhelmed by work and family and the house, and don't seem to be able to finish anything.  I've got big outside projects (renovated porch, new front wall and garden beds) that don't seem to be going anywhere.  I have big renovation plans for inside -- re-doing the kitchen, insulating the butler's pantry with new cabinets and shelves, refinishing the main floors -- but it seems like simply keeping the house presentable is overwhelming.  (Two years in this house, and there's still a room full of boxes I haven't even unpacked!)

Knitting, my go-to craft, suffers from a lack of focus.  I have a bunch of projects that are half done but I've stalled for one reason or another.  I don't have the yarn, or I don't like the colors, or the vision --or I can't imagine why I stated them in the first place, but feel I'm too far in to just pitch them.

Even cooking -- which I have to do regularly -- seems pretty uninspired.  At least there's no one else to complain about it!

I know I'll get over this slump and be posting more regularly again, but I wanted to duck in and say how wonderfully I think everyone is doing with their own creative works.  It all looks fantastic -- and very inspirational

This was a proof-of-concept blanket that will be going to charity now that I know it works. ^_^

I'm disappointed to say that I got 19 pages behind and still need to catch up, but I wanted to post my projects from the month as I haven't had a chance to up load anything yet.

8 crochet blocks towards my blanket:

3 tea wallets for a friend as a trade

A new kindle case for myself:

Crayon wall art for my new office

Zentangle wall art for my new office

Painted sugar skull for a friend

Yoga mat bag for myself

Gspin, you've been busy! That's going to be a great blanket. I'm jealous of your tea wallets. I tried to make one, and out of three...let's just say it's useable but it's not something I'd gift. Grin

Love those crochet blocks - can't wait to see the final blanket! And that yoga mat bag is awesome! I may need to make one of those for my mat!

Love the yoga mat bag.  I just picked up a new mat...definitely in need of a bag.  If that wasn't on my list, it is now!

I've also got that crochet blocks book Gspinn - it's totally one of my favourites.
Lovely colours you're using.

Lets see...I'm at 15 so far and I have a few pics now of some more.

16.

This is a Tiger Striped Yeti basket for AnnChen for an angel package I made her.  Sadly, it is taking it's time to get to her.  She asked me to go ahead and post pics, since it's been so long.

17.

Also for AnnChen.  It's just a glue gun box for her to organize paper or beads or some such

18.

This is a baby barreleye fish.  Haven't seen one?  Look here  http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/02/photogalleries/fish-transparent-head-barreleye-picture/  It's made from a coin machine bubble, peg eyes, vinyl and brads to hold the tail on.

19.

A felt badge I made for the felt badge swap for flyingpigs24

20.

This felt badge was made for the ever amazing lanikins.  If you can't read her hair it says Poppet Master

21.

My Hub carries these collapsible chop sticks with him all the time.  They were in a denim pouch that went to shreds.  SO I made him a leather one.

22.

And I made some kitchen curtains.  I'm soooo happy I made them 3/4 length.  We can still see the mountains when the curtains are closed.

23.

My folks got the Hub a tablet for Xmas.  SO I made him a cover for it.  The outside is denim

Thanks for looking

32 on my list was-"Fix the broken sliding door on the hall closet or replace it with a curtain! Don't just unclutter that closet, make it pretty and useful while I'm at it. Add shelves and hooks.Craft up some storage ideas."
Today I emptied it completely, scrubbed, put a storage cube in the bottom, a small container for gloves and hats, filled a bag for Goodwill, and hung up a few pictures on the side. Pitched the broken doors, bought a tension rod, got husband to look at his stuff, need to get daughter to decide on some of her things. I'll look for a neat curtain or length of fabric next time I have money. Oh, and need to add a few hooks for scarves.
The closet is basically a drywall enclosed box in the hall (small house). This project counts as 90% done.
It's a start towards bringing my house to heel...
