I am definitely on the side of crafty mess.  I know a lot of people with spotless homes and their conversation is about as interesting.  I know some women with clean homes and a messy craft room.  I can live with that.

The deal with my friends is I won't notice your mess if you don't notice mine.  Seems to work.  They mostly come back to visit.

We should do a messy home swap...ha ha..I bet there are tons of sayings and tips out there to enjoy our creative clutter and not so tiny homes!  I do know a few crafting friends that have very neat and tidy houses because they enjoy working in that environment...but, they still have to let something go...I am guessing that it might be sleep! Cheesy

I made a few things for a couple of swaps...they should arrive this week so I can post more pics...

Ooh, and you could make your partner a magic wand just for cleaning the house. That's totally what I'd use a magic wand for. Housework.

Wow! So much great stuff.

I love, love, love that Winnie the Pooh set (so would my daughter) I agree that the crocheted helmet is quite epic! Okay, so I've finally gotten some of the crafts on my list finished!

I sewed a weighted blanket for my daughter:

Closeup of fabric and squares:

Revamped tray:

Storage boxes for office:

and for luckdragon in the March Ongoing Pinterest swap, silverware rings:

(pic stolen borrowed from luckdragon)

so that makes 4 things off the list for me! I am off to update my list!

So many great projects!

I'm particularly in love with the Ice King - he's so well done.  I want to learn needle punch.  I bought the tool, but cant seem to figure it out.

Also, the skyrim hat - hubby is really into that game.

ehinders - I like the fabric for the weighted blanket and the silverware rings are really neat.

Love all of the projects! The skyrim hat is fantastic. The weighted blanket is great, as are those rings!

I also have less than tidy house (okay, lets call it like it is... its a pit) and would absolutely love a clean up wand for this mess!

On the fun crafting side of things - yesterday my daughters and I decided to color eggs. When the eggs were gone, we still had all of this fabulous egg dye. So, what to do? We ended up dying a ton of random things (paper, napkins, wood pieces, paper clay items). It was so much fun!

Inspiration without application is moot.

ehinders, what did you use to weight the blanket? That sounds like something I would like for myself.

I usually have to clean off the dining room table when someone comes for dinner. I just move projects to whatever other flat surface I can find.

Smeddley- Awesome blood stuff! I have heard a lot of people struggle with the patterns from Creepy Cute Crochet. I think they look great

I have been checking this thread a few times a week and marvel at the amazing things people have been making.  I'd love to hear how people make crafting a priority -- what techniques do you use to make the time and space for crafting?
Majority of my crafting stuff is in the study, so some things I do while sitting at the computer. Sewing is my de-stress so I try to sew once a week. I also try to craft as many gifts as I can & do it 3-4 weeks in advance. When I was working full-time I used to allocate half an hour after dinner to craft. But something like crochet or needlework I do in front of the tv

SilverMoon - awesome hat!

Thanks!  I'm still working out some kinks in making my bath fizzies.  The last batch I made didn't come out as hard as I would have liked them too.  I think I need more citric acid.  Anywho - the recipe I used actually came from someone I don't know via MareMare.  I posted on the Bath and Body board when the first batch I made had lots of pre-fizz issues.

Here's the link so it.  I'll warn you, the expsenive parts are the essential oils and the citric acid.  Didn't realize that when I started this project.  The baking soda, epsom/sea salts and cornstarch are no problem at all.  oh well.  They still smell yummy and make me happy!  Cheesy
