smashu--you are my latest craftster crush!  So talented...I have just started including a lot more kale in my diet...the t-shirt design really made me laugh!
I'm seconding that! Some extremely beautiful work.
*blush* aww thanks guys! Smiley

waggonswest: you did amazing! It turned out lovely Smiley

Silvermoon: cute booties!

My thesis is due in a few weeks so I had to pack up all my crafting supplies out of sight so I don't get tempted to make things.. :/ But luckily I still have a few swap packages in the mail! This was received today:) It's seriously been over ten years since I made any jewelry too (aside from earrings I made for another partner in the same swap)!

I've also put off making a portfolio for a dreadfully long time so doing that is on my list. This weekend I finally went down to Zellers and found a bunch of my shoe designs were there so I bought and photographed them. It's been ages since I've been aware of anything really cool of mine in store and I'm really proud of my textile illustrations and design for these! Hopefully I can start working on designing my portfolio more after my thesis is due but for the meantime the photos are cleaned and I did a post on them here.

way to go, Smashu! That's wonderful, having your designs featured like that. Those are great shoes! I think the dino's my favorite. And I really like the jewelry, too. I like how you added the feather under the nest.

Okay, I made a small shadowbox for a feb. swap-then decided I needed to make another one! I might keep the second one, or if I get a dealer's table for a scifi con, I might add it to that.

Not the best pic, there's little details on the raygun that didn't show up-and it came out more blue than purple in the picture. It's laying flat on my bed, so it slid off the little black holders a bit.

And the little one I made last month for Steampunk for the home, I can't remember if I posted it or not!

Thanks everyone on the compliments on Aria's embroidery.  She was super excited to make it.  She seriously wants me to teach her to use the sewing machine.  Grin

Smashu, your shoe designs are super cool.  I'm following your facebook page now to keep an eye on your design work.  You are seriously talented.

Cool rayguns, bookstorebabe!

I made a skirt for a friend's daughter last weekend (NOT on my list  Roll Eyes):

It felt strange (but awesome) to step away from boy crafting.

And, here's my OTT (also NOT on my list) for the recent Hunger Games Swap (pic courtesy of beccas_song):

This was my first real metal stamping project and it was super fun!  My husband cut and shaped the metal piece and drilled the holes for me.

Jewelry, steam punk, clothes for kids, healthy living, upcycling rugs... total coolness.  You all are as inspiring as ever.  I'm itching to get back to my sewing machine and dig in.

Thanks for all of your kind words about my wee quiltie.  That is one of the things that makes this craftalong such a fabulous thing.  There is so much encouragement and assistance for us when we get stuck or discouraged.  It is a privilege to be part of such a supportive community.

And a word of thanks to Always, who always keeps up and keeps us motivated... particularly during her busy season.  Always Amazing.

Thanks! I made it by gluing a bird (sparrow) charm (connector ring cut off and edges filed) to the round end of a clasp finding.  I used E6000 to glue.
