Crafting a girl's best friend

So far this month I have completed a crochet cat for a dear friend:

And I've been experimenting with recipes because I am really trying to reuse my leftovers instead of throwing them out. Two I made this month that I'm proud of are
Taco crescent rolls these are made with protein crumbles made taco style, refried beans, cheddar cheese, and sour cream rolled inside crescent rolls.

Taco pasta casserole. This is made with 1/2 lb pasta left over taco style protein crumbles, pinto beans that I made using a friend's recipe, sour cream , and topped with sour cream.

eclecticdreamer--love your basket and the coasters are very cute!  Is it rope glued to a cork bottom?  Your coils are perfect!

It's actually upholstery cotton cording glued to a cork bottom. The how-to I found on my partner's Pinterest said to use hot glue gun, but I ran out halfway through so switched to Fabri-Tac and it worked MUCH much better.

Thanks everyone for the congrats, and thanks alwaysinmyroom !!

Gspinn: Those look great! I love seeing what all I can do to stretch leftovers. I really need to start writing them down when I do them, as I can't remember a single thing now! And some turned out amazing. Make sure you document it!

fabri-tac--I will have to get some of that! I am not a fan of hot glue.

rlb - I ended up pulling the crochet apart as it was really stiff and the yarn lost all its gorgeous softness so I will try again with a bigger hook. Its a pretty pattern though.

The little kitty is so cute!

Love the wee kitty! The taco dishes look yummy! I use veggie crumbles when I make tacos, too-but I really like the look of the crescent rolls and the cassarole.
Congrats, eclecticdreamer!
So much new happens, I can't keep up. I don;t know how alwaysinmyroom does it!
And for the first time, I made sweet and sour pork from scratch. It was tasty, and it made way more than I meant-my daughter ate it three days in a row! And still asked me to make it again sometime.

Way to go eclectic dreamer!

I have a few things finished that are swap stuff so I can't show pics yet, but I DID just make a tut on how to cut a box down into a smaller box for shipping things and since it took most the afternoon, I'm counting it on my list..since I have a make-it-up-as-I-go list Grin
