I made Miss Six a beanie to match her school uniform, as it is Autumn now, and next term she doesn't have to wear her Summer hat any more, so she can have weather appropriate headgear. It's actually a lot more purple than it looks - my camera will only show accurate colours when then backgrounds get completely yellowed -

Inspiration without application is moot.

I have finished up many, many more crocheted dishcloths. I ran a strand of size 10 crochet thread through out most of my work. My church's kitchen is nearly as old as I am, complete with the olive green floors. This way, I have the one color, brown, tying every dishcloth and eventual hotpad together with the colors of the floor.

The others are for my mom, because she is the only one who never begs me for any thing.  Roll Eyes  And because she still helps take care of my entire family.

I found this adorable pattern in Stitch Spring 2012 where you make a quilt block and then cut it down into the shape of a flying-disk-like toy. Cut out two, made one and decided I just can not cut the second square.

Can you see the size of the square and the finished size of the FDLtoy? Why, oh why did the directions call for making such a HUGE square if all you were going to do is trim away most of it?  Shocked

Still working on those first pair of socks of the year. *sigh*
So now I am stuck with a lumpy 8 inch disk and a 13 inch square from scraps that I am tired of looking at.

Any ideas?

Ok, just played "catch-up" with this thread. I've been mia for a few days because .... I got a puppy! So expect to see lots of puppy crafts coming up, today I'm going to make her a fleece rice bag for her crate at night. She's a mini Dachshund so it should be a quick project, aka small.  Cheesy

MissingWillow ~ I'm in love with that Zombie Advent Calendar, very awesome!

smashu ~ The glitter house was a blank cardboard one from Hobby Lobby. I have 3 more like it, but I plan on adding on to those to give them all different shapes.

I can't keep up with this list!!  I spent 2 hours on here the other night and am already waaaay behind!  LOVE the variety of projects & mediums that everyone is showing off~ Great work!!  I have a couple to add, too:

My 2nd pottery project is complete!  The photos don't show off the super-cool colouration of the pie plate, but I think you can get the idea  Smiley  Am proud Smiley

My swap partners have also received their packages!  Here is what I sent to flygirl88 for the Simple/Easy Swap (I have a hard time with simple):

And here is what I sent to crtchrocketchica for the February Birthday Swap:

I was super excited about the VW van - it was my very first design!!  I used graph paper & some coloured pencils to figure it out...  Far from perfect, but still pretty cool I thought Smiley

I embroidered a little peace sign & her name on a mini removeable pincushion, too...  This was my way of making it a 'functional' gift  Wink

I think I forgot to post some other photos of projects that I've done, but can't remember right now...   Grin

Lovely projects, Koreena!  I love the pottery!  So shiny and pretty!  I love the knitted bag, as well!

This weekend I tried my hand at soap making for the very first time!  I'm super excited about it!  I used this tutorial:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=267859.0

I started with plain unscented soap, as advised in the tutorial.

Here's the soap after its time in the oven.  Its ready to be cut and cured!

All cut up!

And after 24 hours of curing, it is ready to use!  Look it soap up!  Weee!  I'm pretty darn excited about it!  I'm gonna do another plain batch next weekend, and then I can graduate to adding scents and whatnot.  Yay!

And this morning I made this:

A felted cowl!  It is so comfy!  I finally made something for me!  ^_^

I posted about it here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=405147.0

Wow, I love the pie plate! And all the other crafty goodies, but wow, again!
And that's a lovely cozy looking cowl, and congrats on the soap!

My partner just received, so february swap projects!
Steampunk for the Home-spice rack, planner, small box, framed raygun, framed piece with flowers, keys, and gears.
And now my kiddo wants a framed 'in case of airship pirates break glass', too.

Sorry for being so absent these last couple weeks...this thread just moves hella fast and I haven't had the time or energy to even skim Tongue

WHEW!!!  Just skimmed over THIRTY-FIVE PAGES of goodies Shocked Shocked Shocked  YIKES!!  I came, I saw, I pinned.  And....the only things I have made so far this year are about 15-20 or so TM patches.  I was in the TM patch swap and LOVED IT, made that TM Xmas stocking last year, and have been making a patch or 2 a day for the last couple weeks.  I have also been collecting sewing themed fabrics for a TM tote I hope to start soon Smiley  Myself, my wife, and our roommate all bought djembe drums from a recent medieval faire we went to, so I now need to add 4 djembe drum bags to my 50 list.  2 of the 4 drums are mine...I LOVE them, so relaxing to beat on something at the end of a long day....LOL!

In need of rainbow fabrics for a Teesha Moore tote, PM me to swap!
