I've been crocheting a long time and I most of the time have to go up at least a hook size for almost every pattern I follow

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

I quite often need to go up a hook size. And maybe even two hook sizes if the ball band or info on the yarn shows to use the same size crochet hook as knitting needles. Crochet almost always requires a larger hook than knitting needles to get the same gauge and drape.

Great socks!

Oh yay! One of my swap packages was just received Cheesy I made a "cuts of meat " dress for a partner inspired by a dress we both pinned on our Pinterests! I used butcher's paper to make the graphics and am very happy with out it turned out Smiley I also did a post on it here

Smash that is one crazy dress  Grin I really did laugh out loud  Grin

sarahj2001 beautiful colours on the fibres and yarns you spun. Spinning your own yarn is so impressive.
I have some sock yarn and koolaid that I got as a gift but I haven't dared to dye it yet nervous about ruining the yarn by making a horrible colour combo  Embarrassed

ChrisSews - Not the usual run of the mill crafting going on! Sausage making - awesome Grin

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best

sarahj2001-Love all the yarn and fiber.

smashu- What a funny dress. The graphics are so neat and clean.

ChrisSews- Wow, you are so brave. I would never think/dare to make my own sausage.

Sarahj, I love all your fiber projects!

Life has been busy and not only am I way behind in this thread, but the fact that March has begun totally escaped me and I forgot to post all of my February projects.  Urgh.  But I will take photos and post at a later time.

I just wanted to let you know what I spent my Amazon gift card on.  Both have been on my wishlist for a little while and I'll be excited once I have my hands on them:

The Vegan Slow Cooker (http://www.amazon.ca/The-Vegan-Slow-Cooker-Intensely/dp/1592334644/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1330982319&sr=1-1)

Gem Water (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/1844091317/ref=ox_ya_os_product)

I will post photos of the other prizes once they arrive.  Thanks alwaysinmyroom hosting these draws!

Hey everyone! There has been too many amazing projects since I last checked this board. My other half is now working nights so I has been pure chaos trying to get all three of our little ones on the new schedule. And I have also been in a crafting funk lately so nothing like joining a craft swap in order to get the creative juices flowing.

Will do personal swaps.. ^_^

I made Miss Six a beanie to match her school uniform, as it is Autumn now, and next term she doesn't have to wear her Summer hat any more, so she can have weather appropriate headgear. It's actually a lot more purple than it looks - my camera will only show accurate colours when then backgrounds get completely yellowed -
