I'm sorry my Dr's a knucklehead too.  Sad

redstar13 - Its my thumb joint, underneath my pinky (like - opposite side from the thumb joint) and my wrist.  I can't put any weight on my wrist, can't lift anything, can't crochet, can't write, can't paint.  Its slightly swollen.  I'm going to start looking for an orthopedist next week.  I've been wearing a wrist brace for 2 weeks now and still having quite a bit of pain if I try to do things.

Oi! So its your whole damn hand!! youch!! I hope you find a good doc that can set you right!!!

I have an embroidery machine! If you want to do personal swaps for machine embroidered items, (or are in my swaps!) let me know!

I dont really get TM patches,  what are they about?

Here's the thread that started it all for me, be sure to watch the links to the 4 how-to videos by Teesha Moore, they're great!

And images from the current swap that's just wrapped up

Careful though, they're addictive!

The good news: It isn't locked.

I have finished the first "mock cable" sock, I love it!  Grin

I did my first proper heel with a gusset picking up & knitting stitches along the edge and first time grafting the toe seam. I know it doesn't count until I have two but I have to show it off  Wink

Kookaloo_Starr, love the socks!  Very impressive.  I finished #31. Perfect my hot sauce recipe then bottle it for gifts.  Here's the prototype:

weird...I made a post and now it's gone. Anyway!
Paper bead necklace, 1st time making paper beads. Sloppy. I need to make more though, was fun!
Revamped skirt, also new technique, but I forget when I did this-could have been january? White, green embroidery, bought to make an apron with, didn't. Painted between the stitching with acrylic paint, heat set it, tea dyed it. Fits kiddo, she likes it! Wouldn't pose, took a shot of the revamped bit.

like the paper bead necklace!
hot sauce, yum!
and sock...how in the world people make socks is beyond me but it is a lovely sock.  Grin

I have so many crafts that will be churned out in the next couple of days but I probably won't be able to post them until March as they are all swap items.  I seriously need to time my crafting better.  Heh.

Kookaloo_Starr great skill on that sock!

MissingWillow, oh I love hot sauce. Great job!

bookstorebabe I think paper beads are great. I remember my brother making them back in high school for my mom and she got tons of compliments on the necklace.

I have made things, I just need pictures. Don't really see that happening any time soon.  Cry

Kookaloo_Starr - People who knit socks blow me away! It looks super comfy!

MissingWillow - Love, love, love good home made hot sauce! Yours looks wonderful!

bookstorebabe - great paper beads! They are addictive, aren't they? Coloring the embroidery is such a great idea! I will have to file that idea away for later use...

I picked up my knitting needles this weekend and am vvveeeerrrrryyyyyy slowly knitting....something. It will probably be a cowl of some sort. I bought the yarn forever ago with the intention of making a scarf, but if history repeats itself, the seasons will change multiple times before I finish a full scarf. So, I am setting my sights on something shorter and hope to have it done just in time for the full heat of summer. (I do enjoy knitting, really I do. I am just so painstakingly slow at it - part of why I am always so blown away by people who really knit!)

Astounded by your socks Kookie. I've made one full pair and a couple half done, I just don't have the patience for them  Sad

Really like the paper bead necklace and the Hot sauce looks yummy.

I have finished a cerise hat, but it's away with my Mum and pictureless atm.
I'm working on swap items and so want to post a few, as they're Creepy Cute awesome.
Also working on a crochet pillow for me.

thanks for the compliments on my socks  Cheesy I never thought I would be able to knit "proper" socks but the book I'm using is great and talks you through each line of the pattern with photos of the tricky bits. Easy Knitted Socks by Jeanette Trotman in case anyone is interested in having a go  Wink

Hubby has taken my dawg out for the afternoon so I'm hoping to get a good start on the second sock. I need to learn how to make two at a time, I think that should be my next new technique to tackle, I've learned more new(to me) knitting techniques so far this year then I have in the last 30-something years *LOL* I might graduate from beginner to intermediate this year!
