ChrisSews- The birds are adorable. The feathers on the tails are just the right touch.

redstar13- NCIS hoops are always win! And hats off to you for the amazing hoodie. I have yet to venture into the realm of layered stencils and I am still in constant awe of those who do!

indigo_roses- I love the weeping angel! They are my favorite DR Who Villains.

Ohh the February challenges should be interesting! I really need to light a craft fire under my butt and get it in gear instead of just adding things to my list. My kids really love the owl hats that I gave to my friends so I had to make one for each of them so I am not sure if that counts as a new craft or an addition to an finished project.

Love your un-paper towels, ChrisSews!  I need to figure out how to make some without a serger.  What kind of fabric did you use for them?

I used birdseye cotton.  It's the same material that's used for traditional trifold diapers so you can usually find it at shops that sell diapering materials.  It's really absorbent so that's the advantage of using it over other types of material.  I've ordered mine from a couple of places online.  I've also made them with one side flannel and the other birdseye.  Lots of sewing machines have a fake serger stitch or and overlock stitch, I bet something like that would work for the edges.  You could also sew them inside out, turn them, and then just topstitch around the edges.

This board is SERIOUSLY bad for my crafting ADD!!!  **Must stick to my list no matter how many completely awesome projects I see posted on here day after day after day...**  I'm loving all of the new projects, especially the hats that have been added!

As for the challenge:

1. Colour ~ I have an idea already  
2. New technique ~  Does my new foray into the world of pottery count?  My first class was on January 30th, but I the projects I began won't be ready until mid/late February...
3. Swap ~ Check & Check!  I am currently signed up for the Simple/Easy Swap & am looking forward to signing up for the February birthday swap
4. Quantity ~ Pretty sure this won't be a problem

I agree!  I think I will add some fabric/fleece hats to my list since fabric is what I need to destash this month!

Lucky you, Koreena!  Pottery is something I admire but never got into!  Completed projects in February will count!

I'm probably going to be a failure monkey on challenges this month.  I absolutely should not be encouraged to take up anything new.  I already basically live in the Michaels-themed episode of Hoarders.  Well, unless it's something new that uses up all the crap I already have.
