Smeddly, that little teapot would be perfect on a tea wallet! And that apron is perfect. I'm always looking for hawaiian shirts for DH when I go thrifting. Noo, I love your notebooks. Sheepblue, that trophy is great!  Hee, I tell my DD and DH I need a tshirt that says, 'I'm the Alpha Female.' The trophy made me giggle, you're so clever!

My Sherlock Holmes partner just received, so I can add some more projects to the done list. Two decorated boxes, a framed reversible decoupage, a necklace, and a couple of small things-a stickpin and painted votives. I had fun.
I uploaded the pictures I took hurriedly before I mailed this, but hers came out a lot better than mine, so I'll just link to the post.

My crafting this past weekend has not been nearly as productive as I would have liked it to be.  Sad  My embroidery and my crochet are irritating my wrist.  It doesn't hurt to actually do the craft but afterwards it hurts to bend my wrist...  soooo not a fan of this!!  :/  Hoping to work on the second afghan square or the back of the embroidery tonight.

Have you tried wearing a compression like brace while you are working?

I have...  it doesn't make much of a difference.  I've been trying to crochet a bit and then flex it.  Seems to help some.  I just don't have time for this!  I have to make 16 two foot squares for this afghan and a sore wrist is not welcomed!!  lol

I have a bird phobia, can't have them in the house but those are cute & I love the tail feathers  Smiley

OMG!  I have a phobia myself, and everyone laughs at me!  I had a cocktail fly at my head when I was 14 and my relationship with birds has NEVER been the same.  I have a client who has a parrot-like creature and every time I go over I am in fight-or-flight for the entire home visit!  Bird phobics unite!

(But I agree, those crafted, inanimate birds are super cute!)

I'm not the only one!  I get crap all the time because I freak out when birds fly over my head.  It was a turkey for me.  And yet I still like birds on crafted stuff and small birds are ok.

Trinalocakary, wow! You've made some beautiful things!

One more for me-I took a cheap framed piece from the Dollar Store I'd bought for a dollar on clearance ages ago, and painted over it. It had an irregular surface, which suited me fine for this. Kind of an abstract starry sky? Blue and silver paint, white splattered on, and pearl x iridescent powder was sprinkled on top. When I used some clear sealer over it, it turned all purple and shimmery and spread nicely. Then I painted the frame purple. Not a lot to it, but it's hanging in my kitchen now.

And a corner closeup.

Great teapot image, love the colors! It would be great on a tea wallet.

I love this little teapot cross-stitch, and the stitching is done, but it's not a finished piece because... I don't know what to do with it.  It's on a little bit too small of a piece of fabric to put in a hoop, so I was thinking the front of a needlebook or tea wallet or...?

Would you consider a craft swap? My grandparents had a green teapot just that color.

I just got around to taking pictures of the stuff I made and finished this weekend. So, here we go:

Hairpin lace scarf. Was going to do a shawl but I was not counting the number of loops I was doing so ended up with lots of different length pieces. Will still do a shawl but I'll keep better track of things next go round.

Simple knit washcloth. WIP from last year. I only had two rows left before I decided it was done. Easily distracted? yes!

A hat and a scarf with what was left from making the hat. The hat is for me to go with the scarf I wove last year. Not sure if I'll keep this skinny scarf for myself or add it to my hat/scarf donation box I got going.

And a bag that I have no idea what I'm going to do with. Used up two skeins of yarn for it. Had just enough left after making the bag to make the I-cord drawstring for it. Yay for no waste!

I have another WIP project that will hopefully get finished this week along with other ideas I've got in mind.  Cheesy

rottenlittleboys, if you like it and want it I can just pop it in an envelope as-is and send it to you, just PM me your address.  I can always make another if I really decide I need one!  Plus, that'll make it a completed project AND one of my 50 random "presents" for the year!

Thanks for the Dr. Who tips, ya'll!!! Cheesy Audio, I've been meaning to ask you & alexz where to begin on Dr. Who and now I know... So it begins. Take note of the time and date, because it might be the start of a whole new nerd-affair.

Smeddley, I love your walrus.
