that1girl- I love the bookmarks and the scarf!

I also agree the narwhal is an under-utilized subject in crafts, art, etc.  I also think that platypus, kiwi bird, angler fish, and other strange-but-wonderful creatures should be featured more Smiley  I have a silhouette of a kiwi I want to use on something....hmmm....I think I feel an addition to my 50 list coming on!

I think that there is going to be a new narwhal movement! I see more additions to the list as well that also include your strange and wonderful creatures and of course I can't believe I left out my beloved Cryptids..Off to update the list again.

Will do personal swaps.. ^_^

I'm working on my sewing machine case, then the next task will be to find a camera to photograph and show all my January projects Smiley

so far this month - selfishly, most was for me
Thomas shirts
Thomas invites
Thomas place mats
Cricut cover
charging dock
painting {not quite done}
laptop pouch

Still waiting for new tablet to create a case for it, although seller is no longer on ebay so I have put in a not recieved claim Sad

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

Am I the only person who fights winter depression by getting half a dozen+ projects going at once??  I am really having a hard time with it this year and I cant focus worth a darn but I refuse to not try to do something so that I have a distraction from what is getting to me.  Right now I have so many projects going even though I can only focus on one for 10 to 15 mins I then crash, sleep a bit and pick up another.
I do have a full spectrum lamp and I am working on improving my intake of meds/vitamin/supplements and improving my diet all around but I hear of people and I remember years where I could not do any thing crafty and I am wondering if I am totally odd in this.

If I ever get one of these done I will post it..lol

With necessity being the mother of invention I give you ***drum roll***

My poor baby has to put up with mens undies for now but when I get the fit tweaked she will be getting custom made ones now re-cycled ones.
there's a towelling pad sewn inside. Washable & dryer-able and cost nothing.
She's had them on almost an hour now and hasn't tried to eat them or pull them off.

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best

Thankfully, I am not feeling as bad as you seem to be, but yes, I too am feeling "it" this year...more so than others.  Just biding my time till spring and keeping busy with craft swaps.

trinalocakary - I'm feeling it too.  I don't have as much time to craft as I would like but I know that I've been  way wonky and out of sorts.  To the point of contacting a head-doctor because I just can't seem to get myself happy.  But I'm doing alright right now.  Anywho - I'm off to work on a schedule for rehearsals and then an embroidery hoop.  Smiley

trinalocakary, I have a million projects going at one time because I can't focus. Then I have periods where I don't craft at all. That's when I know depression has hit. It seems that knitting is the only thing I can finish.  That's probably because it's something I do in front of the tv or in the car (not while driving.) I've heard that eating walnuts and other things rich in omega 3s really help.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments about my rainbow hat and the pink RAoK hat too. It really made me feel good to come back and read the comments after a terrible day yesterday. I came home from work to find my house broken into and my tv, xbox, and video games gone. Also gone are a nintendo wii and DS that were in my mom's room. I stayed home from work today looking for rental properties so I can finally move out of mom's house and crocheting a new hat for myself as I find crocheting is some of the best personal stress relief and therapy for me.

This hat was inspired by the color card scarf on Caron's website
