Ok, I'm a bit embarrassed to share this next completed project but I made it for my boyfriend (it's his birthday today).  He likes digital art and fractals and for those of you who are familiar with energy and intuition, I'm really good when it comes to clairsentience and claircognizance but not so much with clairvoyance and clairaudience...  I'm on a mission to work on what I'm really not good at, art being one of them...



I swear I had a really great image in my mind but I wasn't able to translate it onto canvas.  For one, I didn't expect the white circles to completely take over the piece...  I'd also like to work on blending a bit better.  But seeing as how this is probably my first serious piece (all other experience comes from non-serious painting with the kids), I'm ok with it.

I painted a rock for my best friend's upcoming first wedding anniversary. Stole the idea off Pinterest. And look AIMR - it's white! 

Did lots of poptarts for the TM swap this weekend, but I can't share those yet.
Didn't get my ninja finished yet either I took it to emergency to work on while I waited for a doctor to look at the gash in my three year old's head, but my hands were shaking too much to go quickly. His seven year old brother hit him in the head (by accident) with a cricket bat. He didn't need stitches though, just glue, no concussion or anything else and 24 hours later he is still fine, but it scared me at the time.

Also, I love that Star Wars skirt. I wish *my* op shop sold cute sheets like that!

dreadlocklove, I understand almost none of that, but I like the painting. I agree the white circles take over, but I like the way that looks. From a purely bystander point of view.

Dreadlocklove, I think it's a nice painting. I like the bright white shapes against the colorful background. I'm sure your bf will love and appreciate your efforts. Keep it up!

I knit my little pups a humiliation headband tonight . I've also been playing with some of Picassa's new features for the pics.

I made a bread pudding!


It was super easy and I had all the ingredients in the house. I wanted to get rid of some brown bread I bought last weekend without throwing it away, and it really made me feel good about my goal of not wasting food anymore. I also made some butter rum sauce for on top of it...so gooooooood.

This wasn't on my list though

I know exactly what you are talking about! I really fight with myself about this and am coming to the conclusion that it is fine for me to start with a vision, but I can't fight it when the art wants to change and become something different! I like your painting and I am sure that your bf will love it!
