sheepBlue - Holy heck! I love your animal trophies! And the junk canvases are fantastic. They remind me of something I saw in an art history class. Let me see if I can find her... yup! Louise Nevelson. Just in case, ya know, you want to check her out or something. Tongue Also, I love your green seed bead necklace. Like so much!

CT - Thanks! I checked out Louise Nevelson - very cool! I can definitely see the similarity, albeit a bit more modern and junky  Smiley

sheepBlue-I love the necklace.  How long did it take to make?  Just thinking about stringing so many little beads make my fingers cramp.

It actually took me about an hour or so. I was using thread and a needle so they strung on very easily  Cheesy

alwaysinmyroom: I don't have a link but I added the recipe here. I don't know what effects the shea butter will have on it, but the recipe I posted totally works. At least, it does for me and my husband. It won't stop you from sweating, but it kept me from stinking even during crazy hot summer days.

rantyhippie: Wow! That's scary! I've never heard of anyone having such a bad reaction to antiperspirant before.
The deodorant is really quick and easy to make. It takes me about 15 minutes or so to whip up a batch and that includes digging through my cupboard to find the ingredients. I've never measured how much it makes but I'm guessing slightly less than 3/4 cup.

The pink handspun a few pages back is lovely!! Me want!! The deodorant also looks very interesting - bath & body products are something else I'd like to try.

Cute leaf too! I really need to crack my 100 flowers to knit book open!

Homemade deodorant is a great idea. I'm allergic to antiperspirant also but unfortunately I'm also allergic to tea tree oil. Sad

Skip it. You can substitute another essential oil or forgo it all together. I made my first batch with just lavender essential oil and it worked great. Some people skip the essential oils completely. That's the beauty of DIY - you change it to make it fit you!

I was wondering about the deodorant ... the coconut oil that you used. Is that the coconut oil that you can get in the grocery store? Or is it a different type? Thanks for your help!!
