I was wondering whether or not to do the Christmas items I had on my 2011 list...it just seems the mood is gone...I was taking down all of my cards and thought I should recycle them right away into new cards, etc....

Guess I better think of Valentines Day instead!

A hat for my niece's baby...inspired by one posted here!

plaidpineapple, did you use a tute or pattern for the underwear or just wing it?  My goal for the year (other than this list!) is to potty train DJ.  Right now he has zero interest ("Mommy & Daddy change my diaper, that's how it works"<--direct quote), but I'm hoping some cool new big boy underwear will help.  I found an online tute for boxer-like briefs, but I want some like yours too!

Cowboy booties are amazing, always!  For a boy or girl?  Wondering if you found out if your niece's baby is a boy or not yet.  Those would fit right into the boy clothes sew along!

Everything is looking great!!  I love the cowboy boots, they are always a big hit with my family.  And your owl hat is too cute!  I love all the sewn items.  I think i'm gonna take a class to figure mine out good, sure I can sew a straight line, but if its a bend I have to crank it by hand 

I finished a WIP yesterday!!! YAY!!  Now I just gotta take pics of it.  thats also whats good about this craftalong, lots of times I forget to take pics of my stuff, but this will make me remember!  I got Nats infinity scarf done and its white!!  Thats a twofer!!

Got another item done last night! I've been seeing these braided seed bead bracelets around lately and decided to try and recreate it, but as a necklace. I was worried that it wouldn't lay right but since it is almost at choker length it lays perfectly. I think if it was looser it probably wouldn't though. And a great use of seed beads I almost never touch!

What a pretty color as well!  Did you use fishing wire to string the beads?  How is it closed?

I have tons of seed beads...I can only use so many for Teesha Moore stuff...this looks like a great project to use those up!

Nice yoyo pillow! I've made yoyo's before, but never turned them into anything that pretty!

cloudsnapper--you are adorable in your skirt!  How is the waist done?  Elastic?

I made the waist with elastic. I thought about making it with a plain waistband, but I'm doing exercise so my shape may change some. Plus that's what the pattern called for.

I have tons of seed beads...I can only use so many for Teesha Moore stuff...this looks like a great project to use those up!

I actually couldn't find my fishing line that I would normally use with seed beads so I improvised with doubled up strong sewing thread lol. (If you have fishing line I'd opt for that but it feels pretty secure so far). At the end of each double strand I use a crimp bead to hold it onto a small ring (forgetting the terminology now haha). Then I connected the three double strands to one ring again, braided, and did the same on the other end. The added a simple clasp and done. The connectors are not quite as pretty as the tute I got the idea from here but for using stuff I had on hand it can't be beat!  

And surprisingly it didn't really use up as many beads as I thought it would. But still make a bunch of these for friends or whoever and you'll deplete your seed bead stash in no time.

The seed bead necklace is really lovely. I may have to steal your idea, if you don't mind that is.

I do like clothing with elastic since you can always make it smaller...and if you eat too much pizza, it will expand a bit with no one noticing!

I have been giving away seed beads for what seems like years--I think they must multiply in their containers...they never seem to go down!
