My plan for today: Finish my cute brown skirt, get fabric for my historical nightgown, and maybe start cutting out the pieces for the nightgown.
It's going to take a while to sew, because instead of buying miles of lace for it, I'm going to be making ruffles out of the same fabric the body of the gown is going to be. And I can't really gather properly Sad Maybe I'll try the normal method for this project.

Nm, I'm going to wait on the nightgown. I need to do some more stuff from my stash before I start anything completely new.

I can't even stick to my mini list. I have already started a lap quilt, thaat I'm making with fabric from my stash. I should get the top done today. I think tomorrow I will start on my scarf.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Finished two sets of doll clothes for my niece. When I told my brother, he said 'Great, now you can make all of her doll clothes.'  I just about died.

First up, sleeper with hat.

Second, every girl needs a dress and tights to go under right?

Flower detail on the dress.

Jacket for when it is cold.

And check out the little turtle. This was cut from the same material the sleeve and collar were.

CHALLENGES:

January 2102 Challenge:

1.  WIPS from 2011.  Please indicate when you post a pic that it is a WIP...
2.  Anything WHITE
3.  Projects for charity or random acts of kindness
4.  Recylced, upcycled, green projects
5.  Projects just for you--after the holidays, we deserve something for ourselves!

I managed to hit two of the targets with todays crafting  #4 and #5 Smiley

A recycled project bag for me  Grin

I inherited the original bag with a stack of other crafting supplies from my sister in law. It was shabby and had some holes, it had been well used but now it is as good as new. I recovered the original pieces as they're made from some sort of heavy plasticky fabric. The new fabric is an upholstery remnant that my brother gave me about 4 years ago  Roll Eyes

It's not perfect but neither am I  Wink

Um, I'm not sure?  Embarrassed I know they will fit a size 18" doll. I used Simplicity 3572 and I have to say it was an easy pattern to follow.
