Alright, I'm taking the plunge.  Maybe having this list up here will motivate me to actually finish some projects for me instead of just putting them off and signing up for swaps instead.

I finished two projects...both WIP but I cannot post until the folks receive.  One of them is even a upcycled project made from old jeans and accidentally felted sweaters.   I am starting a list of birthday and Christmas gifts now so I can knocking them out throughout the year... I promised myself that THIS year I am not doing the mad holiday dash to get 20 gifts done in 2 weeks.  I refuse. 

Also, I realized that I need to start planning for Aria's Halloween costume now.   Since before last Halloween but after I already made her Ponyo dress she has been saying she wants to be the Ghost Rider.  Yes...the comic book skeleton dude in all black leather and chains that rides around on a motorcycle and wreaks vengeance on bad guys.     Her favorite part is that his skull is covered in flames.  Oi.  This should be fun to make.

Finished project no. 31 and sewed together my two throws. They are now a large throw for my bed. The cats love it.

I finished one of my WIPs from 2011! It's a blue and red scarf for the 2012 Special Olympics. I started it in October/November last year, but then it had to be post-poned so that I could get Christmas presents done. Then I started another one. On my list was to use up the yarn I bought for this project! This one is just going to be random stripes done in double crochet, so it should work up pretty quickly. I'll get a pic up later of the one I finished. Now I need to stop procrastinating and finish cleaning my apartment.

Oohhh...I hadn't thought about a balaclava.  Thats a great idea.  We knew we wanted to do a mask because she'll be 4 and makeup just seems like a bad idea...But a balaclava would keep her little face warm and provide a great foundation for flames.  I will maybe try to do a combo of felt and tulle...someone made us a felt volcano with tulle flames and it looks great... thanks for the idea!!!

I made some body butter today!  It contains cocoa butter, shea butter, apricot kernel oil, grapeseed oil, extra virgin olive oil, as well as honey powder.  It's based on the formula shared in the "Whipped Body Butter" thread in the Bath and Body section.

~reconstructed clothing ~new garden bed in the front ~insulation projects (stairwell curtains, draft dodgers, etc) ~hanging gardens in back ~refinish floors on first floor ~knit 'Scottish' scrappy blanket for my sister ~plan and pull off perennial plant swap ~knit cotton summer dresses for Ari
