im thinking of using dark brown yarn. im done with my top stitching of all the squares i have 96. i'll have to order it soon or i'll forget about this (like my other half quilts)

And, what exactly is a fusion blanket?
My crafting has mostly crawled to a halt, but I've been working on getting rid of stuff and uncluttering. It's slow going, but I'm hanging in there.

I was curious too. I found a link somewhere, but essentially you do the following:
Cut two 5-inch squares, place rights sides together, sew together leaving an opening to turn.
Turn the squares right-side out, stitch opening closed, topstitch 1/2 inch.
Using yarn, sew a blanket stitch all around, then crochet a  border around each square, then crochet the squares together into a blanket.

I think I want to make one.

I finished my Mini List!  Unfortunately I can't post pictures of the pillow cases or hoopla yet, but here's the drawing I did for my uncle. The scan didn't pick up all the details but oh well.

I also finished a custom bag for a nice lady who wanted a mixed theme bag. It was interesting trying to figure out how to construct it the way she wanted. Themes are Doctor Who, Sherlock, Harry Potter, and

indigo_roses--lovely shawl...I think I like that one a lot so I'll be headed to the shop soon!  Love the purples you chose!

holy cow, that1girl!  That is going to be a HUGE blanket!  I laid mine out and the 24 squares is going to be a nice size...

I used one charms pack and then had to cut out six other pieces, so I used a grey solid.  I also used a layer of flannel between the two fabrics to cut down on the see-thru and to give it more weight.:


Here are a few with the crochet border...I am using Caron simply soft.


I will take some pictures tomorrow of my never ending hanky quilt as well...I am using crochet thread and all different sizes of hankies so it is taking forever...I believe I have two squares done!

Always, a lovely start to your fusion blanket. I haven't even cut my squares yet 

I'd intended to do my cutting today but I've got my youngest son moving back home and need to empty my craft room to make it a bedroom again. He'll have to keep my bookcases though as they weigh a ton and I am not moving them again.
I'm going to have to be tidier in my crafting and have less projects on the go at any given time as I'll be back to sewing in the kitchen and hubby gets annoyed when I make a mess and clutter up HIS kitchen with my stuff
