vintage hankie blanket? I'm all curious now!
And, what exactly is a fusion blanket?
My crafting has mostly crawled to a halt, but I've been working on getting rid of stuff and uncluttering. It's slow going, but I'm hanging in there.

I was curious too. I found a link somewhere, but essentially you do the following:
Cut two 5-inch squares, place rights sides together, sew together leaving an opening to turn.
Turn the squares right-side out, stitch opening closed, topstitch 1/2 inch.
Using yarn, sew a blanket stitch all around, then crochet a  border around each square, then crochet the squares together into a blanket.

I think I want to make one.

What a fabulous mix of themes!!!

And the drawing...wow!

indigo_roses--lovely shawl...I think I like that one a lot so I'll be headed to the shop soon!  Love the purples you chose!

holy cow, that1girl!  That is going to be a HUGE blanket!  I laid mine out and the 24 squares is going to be a nice size...

I used one charms pack and then had to cut out six other pieces, so I used a grey solid.  I also used a layer of flannel between the two fabrics to cut down on the see-thru and to give it more weight.:

Here are a few with the crochet border...I am using Caron simply soft.

I will take some pictures tomorrow of my never ending hanky quilt as well...I am using crochet thread and all different sizes of hankies so it is taking forever...I believe I have two squares done! Cheesy

Skittlebub- WOW you've been productive! Loving the softy tool set and all that fab machine embroidery!

Gorgeous shawl Indigo-roses!

Sheep_Blue - awesome bags as usual!

Always, a lovely start to your fusion blanket. I haven't even cut my squares yet  Roll Eyes

I'd intended to do my cutting today but I've got my youngest son moving back home and need to empty my craft room to make it a bedroom again. He'll have to keep my bookcases though as they weigh a ton and I am not moving them again.
I'm going to have to be tidier in my crafting and have less projects on the go at any given time as I'll be back to sewing in the kitchen and hubby gets annoyed when I make a mess and clutter up HIS kitchen with my stuff  Roll Eyes

Crafting 'cause I can't help myself

I haven't had time to craft really and even if I did there is the fact that my house I just moved into needs a lot of work and we still have to unpack, I dont know how we have so much stuff.  I hurt my knee the day of the big move and could not help and eventually threw up my hands and told everyone to load everything into the double garage at our place because there was already a 6'x7' by 4ft deep pile of boxes in my front room so now I am trying to just get the furniture in my art room so I can start bringing in my supplies especially the ones that should not be sitting in a garage without AC in 100* temps.
I am hoping if I get all of the racks and hanging bags (I use clear shoe bags hung on the wall for small things) put up then I can get organized better as I unpack each box.
I have been feeling so stressed about not having crafts to do because I really cant spare much time and right now dont have the space or an area to do anything so I got a few of my 10x12" stretched canvases that I had washed with random colors and a few smaller canvas boards and used up the last of my black alcohol dye and gave them a wash so they had sort of uneven black on them and the tones from the first color shows through in the black.  Before I packed up all my stuff I dug out my metallic and white gel pens and put them in a ziploc in my camo bag and I have been carrying around one of the canvases (sometimes 2) and doing metallic zendoodling with a white leaf motif on all of them.  As soon as we get the wall covering material up I will be adding them to my gallery.
I will post photos as soon as I find where the first two are in the garage.
