I want to do a fusion blanket but having trouble picking my fabrics.

I used an already selected charm square package   and I am using stash yarn...I am doing it a bit different because I am putting a layer of flannel inbetween to give it more weight...plus, you can see through some of the fabric when placed back to back...

I have the yarn ready  Its Wendy Supreme DK cotton, I bought it for a sweater I will never wear  It's a lilac-ish colour so I need to sort out fabrics in pale blues,pale purples & creamy white to go with the decor in my bedroom re-do (which doesn't seem to be progressing at all)

lol, maybe someone should start a page for the blanket over here.
I'm using the fabrics i got from always and some stash, with the same colors. i happen to have alot of blue, pinks, and brown.
 heres some i was working on yesterday. sewing up more today. then i have to see if i need more.

Speaking of afghans, I have one to show you! I made this in the Make A Friend Swap for DesignVigilante. It fits well on my double bed, and is made up of 30 squares.



I'm also almost done with my current WIP, which is on my mini list! I have one row to finish, then the bind off, and then I can show you my Color Affection shawl! (minus the whole weaving in ends thing, and that blocking thing that I need to look up how to do)

I'm not a paper crafter but I do have some papery bits and bobs in my craft room and so decided to make my sister a b'day card this year.
This is it, my first ever birthday card as an adult (the craft paper and crayon ones don't count  )


and this one the yarn & one of the fabrics I intend to use for my fusion blanket. I'll be making my fabric squares 6x6 as that's what size template I have

Are you making it bigger than the 24 squares in the tutorial?

Kookla--love the yarn color you picked!  Congrats on your first adult card! (that sounded off a bit... )

Indigo_roses--lovely and huge afghan!  Can't wait to see your shawl!  I need a shawl project as well!

I am done sewing my squares with flannel between...next step, topstitch and blanket stitch!

Let me see if I can get a pic of my fabrics and yarn before dinner (hubby is cooking while I sew! )

Here is my other piece of fabric, I won't be starting until Monday or Tuesday but I'm getting prepared   I'm backing it in plain white (can't remember if I already said that) I'll see how far these two bits go before I decide whether I'm adding another fabric.
