Thanks jillybeans!  I'm kind of stuck on what to put on the mantle of the fireplace that Harry's emerging from.  It's my last detail.

Spiced Honey? I've never heard of that. Sounds good. I might need a couple recipes.  Wink

I make pepper jelly and I froze some strawberries, raspberries and a little kiwi all cut up to make some jam with, I just haven't got that far yet. My parents eat it and I give it away to teachers at Christmas and teacher appreciation day. Other wise I am over stocked too, but I love to make it.

I have perfected my pepper jelly recipe.

I changed my sugar to 5 1/2 cups and it comes out perfect.

Man, I'm glad its not just me who over cans!  I'm trying to calm it down this year and just make stuff that I will either give away or that I know my husband and I will eat.  I get a little over zealous with the canning.

Oh allrecipes, how I love thy!  Is pepper jelly spicy?  I'm such a wuss when it comes to spicy.  Do you just lather it on bread or do you cook with it?

Thanks jillybeans!  I'm kind of stuck on what to put on the mantle of the fireplace that Harry's emerging from.  It's my last detail.

Perhaps a jar of floo powder?  ^_^

I pour it over cream cheese..so I make it a little runny...it is the most requested thing I can....Cheesy

It is sweet/spicy...no one complains that it is too hot even though it is jalapaneo...

We eat it with crackers and cream cheese. I had some that I made with cranberry juice instead of vinegar and it didn't set up. I simmered chiken breasts with the pepper jelly. It was good. You can make it as spicy as you want by your pepper choice. We like the spicy zing.

My mom puts the pepper jelly on brie.  She likes it spicy too. I made it last time with jalapenos. I  think I may try to do it with habaneros this time.  Grin

Ha!  He's holding a jar of it!   Smiley

I make pepper jelly with our ghost peppers.  They're pretty hard to raise in this part of the world, and incredibly hot.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

My son loves Peppa Pig's brother George and Raa Raa the noisy lion.

5. Finish Harry Potter Advent Calendar (WIP)

Harry Potter advent calendar!  How cool!!  I can't wait to see that!

Sounds like it will be awesome! I think that will be added to my list, but it may not get done until next Christmas.

Let's see, 5 things that I will do...
1. Embroidered hoopla for swap
2. Finally fix mom's necklace
3. *something* for mom's birthday (is that allowed? I haven't figured out what she's getting yet, besides her necklace)
4. fingerless gloves - Christmas present
5. WIP - crazy zauberball socks

I feel like I hardly got anything done craft-wise in June and July
I finished up a cross-stitch, but sadly didn't get to give it to Wil Wheaton at comic con.  Sad

I made one star quilt from scratch for my kiddo's friend for her b-day and I got my other star quilt back from my sister in law who quilted it on her machine.  Sorry for the not-great pic.  I'll try to do a better one after it's gone through the wash - I just wanted to post it before I forgot about it

August Mini list
1. embroidery hoop for swap
2. finish knotwork scarf
3. finish tshirt quilt top
4. finish monster high quilt
5. finish cleaning craft room!
