OMFG is about right trina! You sound like such a wonderful citizen volunteering to make all that food! But are you SURE there's no one else who can at least help you do it all? You have so much going on without your health concerns, I would be stressed out trying to do it. I don't know what these people for the weekend know about your health, but maybe you could consider making sure you keep you safe. Don't think of it as failing anyone, you need to look after yourself.

(and the crafting time is definitely not a waste! It's reward, therapy and relaxation all in one!)

I agree--that sounds like way too much to do for one person...

Crafting will be your rest period after all that!

You can never be a failure if you try your best with what you have and are able...hang in there...

The food sounds yummy, btw...and your shower curtain also sounds intriguing!  I need new curtains for my craft room desks and have some hand dyed fabric that was not a success (too dull...)...I am going to try sharpies on them and paint...I kind of want them to look like a painter's drop cloth Cheesy...that way, when I do get pen and inks all over them, it will look like they were meant to be!

Salt & pepper shakers, butterfly hoops(My fav!).

I have finally been able to get photo hosting working (the uploading kept timing out or something - the pics just WOULDN'T load) so here's some of the things I have been saying I've been doing, now with proof!

my sock!! (no not sockS, yet!)

the hat I made for DH's 8yo nephew (if you look closely the ribs on the black are PERFECTLY out of sync with the ribs on the blue, that's how I meant it to be... honest!)

(it's not the best pic but no matter how I tried the blue came out all weird and washed out - I think I need to make one of those light boxes)

I'm working on the other sock, as well as whatever else takes my fancy!

I could not have said this better. This, too, shall pass, trina. Hang in.

OH man if this curtain doesn't work out I may just do an actual drop cloth one!

The person who was going to make me 3 cakes (from mixes the convention paid for) backed out today, now I am making them, at least i can get creative...Here is what I am making

Chocolate Cherry Coke "dump" cake

One 21oz can of cherry pie filling
1 chocolate cake mix
1 can of coke
bag of chocolate chips (optional)

split the cherries between two 9x9 greased pans
in a bowl mix the dry cake mix and the coke a cola and 1 cup of the chocolate chips and spoon half over the pie filling in each pan
bake at 350* for 30 mins or until the top cake is done and then while hot sprinkle the rest of the chips on top

Funfetti Capt Crunch Cake

3 cups of crushed capt crunch cereal
1 funfetti cake mix
1 package of vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup oil

Mix ingredients in a large bowl then pour into a 11x15 cake pan or two 9x9 pans
bake at 350* for 30 mins or until a knife comes out clean
Allow to cool and frost then sprinkle capt crunch on top

Swirled Poke Cake

1 package of white cake
1 can of 7-up
2 eggs

Bake at 350* for 25 mins, check with a knife to see if it is done
cool
using the back of a wooden spoon poke holes in the cake
mix up a small package of instant chocolate pudding and a small package of instant vanilla pudding each with 1.5 cups of milk
pour half the chocolate and half the vanilla in swirls over the cake working the pudding into the cake
cool and frost with swirls of chocolate and white frosting

I will be baking the last 2 cakes ahead of time, wrapping and freezing then pulling them out sunday morning for the part at 2 am monday morning, I will do the pudding and frosting on site.  The dump cake is best warm so I will make it on site at the hotel suite where we have an oven

Funny thing i can't eat more than a bite of any of it...lol Carbs hate me

trinalocakary, you shouldn't have posted those cake recipes.  Cheesy I've been resisting the urge all morning to go and make a cake.
