Cute diaper cake.  Aria would approve; she has a slight hello kitty addictionshe doesnt watch the cartoonsI think she just likes the idea of a cat with a bow.

Alwaysinmyroom, I LOVE LOVE that art piece!

Jellybeans, love the buntings.  Craftster is so great for getting those party needs out of the way.  Very little of Arias rainbow party needs were made by me.  Also love the due date maternity shirt!

Mama24boyz, I cant wait to see pictures of Daysies party!  Rainbow is such a great theme; so vibrant and fun! Cheesy

Abbee, What a great birthday party!  Monsters are also a good one!  I love the make a monster kit!!

SheepBlue, LOVE the bags, especially the Star Wars one!

Kookaloo_starr, dishcloth scrubbies are a perfect housewarming gift.  Those are very interesting; is the circle in the middle an actual scrub that you managed to work into the pattern?  Clever idea.  I love my homemade dishcloths but sometimes they arent tough enough to do the job.

Okie...here are a few more completed projects of my own.

Shrink plastic sewing pins

K-star, I can't help but notice those dishclothes look very much like communicators.

RLB - now I want Trek dishcloths  Grin Grin Grin I'm currently re-watching the whole of TNG.

rlynn - yes indeed they are those plastic pan scourers  that you buy dirt cheap and get in pretty colours, the downside is that they don't last forever but she insists they'll be for show anyway, I'm working on her to use the damned things rather than look at them but the pastel purple matches her bakeware  Roll Eyes

QNM - lovely artwork  Grin

SheepBlue you make the most fabulous nerdy geek bags EVER and I mean that in the best way possible Grin Grin Grin In my head I'm planning a Discworld TM bag but I don't know whether it will ever become something more than just in my head  Undecided

Those dishcloth scrubbies are pretty cool. I could totally use something like that! Too funny that you noticed they look like communicators, rottenlittleboys.

Super cute pins and cushion, rlynn!

I made my BIL a money cuff for his b-day. He's 26, but not too old for one of these - I figure he can use it while bike riding or out on his new kayak.

I used the same tute rlynn posted a while back...

cute cuff, I don't think anyone is ever too old for one  Smiley I keep meaning to make myself one for when I'm out walking and don't want to carry a purse.

Sweet art QNM!
And love the wrist pouch, I say you're never too old for that.

So I needed a serious break from stitching so I decided to take out the bottle of Inkodye I bought a few months back on a splurge and try it out!....with varying results. I loosely followed the directions from this tute off of Dharma Trading.

First I went to the copy store and got some images printed b&w on transparencies........it dawned on me literally as I was pouring the dye that I was going to end up with negative images as the prints. Doh! Oh well, next time I know I'll get that right.

A booby - for a project that I'm making for a friend.

Rings of a tree.

Bunch of scissors.

And lastly...my greatest disappointment  Undecided A shirt I tried to expose film negatives on. The negatives curled up in the sun and just didnt work out. Next time I'd make sure to have a heavy piece of glass to weigh it down with from the start. Oh well, I'll probably do some screen printing over it later, it's still a pretty color.

Now I need to get more dye! This stuff is awesome!! (Though they don't say it, but it smells like bleach - hope the smell airs out before bf gets home or else he's going to be pissed!)

Oh and I forgot, my partner in the 4x6 art swap received so here's the piece I sent to her!

Screen printed the image onto cotton fabric. Did the sharpie/alcohol trick with blue sharpie, and then watercolors with yellows. Then some machine stitching in red.  Cheesy It was a little hard to give away.
