You were a busy bee, jillybeans!

Isn't it funny how a challenge like that really gets your creative juices flowing!?

I loved everything you did--especially with the tapes!

Thanks!  I also have to thank you for telling me about the Master Craftster oportunity!  Its because you posted about it here that I read about it and decided to give it a shot!  Thanks always!  It was quite a fun opportunity!  /hugs!

I knew you would do well, jillybeans! Grin

We are pretty proud of our members...they get featured on blogs, on tv, local craft fairs, etc. When we get a major company like Brother or Elmer's, it helps the site and also showcases the talent of our members...junggrl and sweets4ever work hard to find companies that will hold contests and provide prizes and supplies...maremare will be offering a book donated by a major quilt author in the next challenge...so quilters and want- to -learn quilters, look for that challenge soon!

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to Epcot I go!

Thanks everyone!  Cheesy

AlishaMisha--I saw that on UrbanThreads and forgot to mention it...I thought you knew!  It is one of my favorite sayings since I travel!
That's okay. When I see something from a fellow craftster on other sites, I always assume they know. I am just glad that I eventually got to see it.

Thanks AlishaMisha Roll Eyes  Wink  After reading your last post, I had to go gander through the UrbanThreads Blog and now feel that I need to buy/make another bag so that I can embroider it!  I blame this completely on you.  Wink

But its okay...  I'm thinking I may embroider the handle of the purse I currently own before I buy another bag.  Cheesy
Fine, I will take the blame!  Grin

The windsocks are so pretty!  Are those rabbits painted on?

Thanks everyone! I really need the encouragement. There's another show in a week I was asked to do when I was at this one.
As for technique: The designs are hand cut out of Insignia Cloth. That is an industrial material used for soft signs and sails. It has a strong adhesive on the back, and a tight woven smooth fabric surface. The fabric is ripstop nylon. I cut out my stencils by hand and decorate them with paints and markers, then sew them down. I added a few details with markers on the background on the bunny sock, such as the hill line.
They are all made of supplies I have from the advertising balloon biz. Except that I am starting to run out of some scrap strips and resorting to yardage! I use recycled vertical blinds for the upper band, and nylon line for the lower one, plus a fishing spinner, grometts and cord.
The chair covers were made of scraps from the tent tops and banners we used to make. It is a thick fabric with rubber on one side.
I knew those scraps were worth hanging onto!
Loads of love to everyone- keep on crafting! Don't stop... Always have something in hand, whether it is a tiny crochet project or a giant undertaking. I like to move from one project to another at different times.

I think a lot of "Spoonies" are crafters, it gives us an outlet when we feel trapped by the body we are in, some days I can craft up a storm and others it is just more than I can do but crafts are pretty forgiving about that...most of them can wait to be finished

I got my jeans almost done - just hems and some bias tape over the seams so I can fold them up if I want, and a button
I got a 'window' put in one castle wall, and 2 more pinned in place.

I just need to add a bar tack to my black skirt

I painted the black buttons on my white blouse white {I have to have an all white blouse for TOPS next week}

Still to do before Tuesday:
-Finish jeans
-Finish black skirt
-Finish blue hoody
-Make white blouse
-Finish red blouse
-Finish buttons

Looking for the free row by row patterns.  If you are able to get me one from your town I will paypal you $2 for postage.

One more done, dodgy night time pics unfortunately

I pieced this one last week as a quick project, based on a tute found on sew, mama, sew and a project i had pinned for ages Tongue
It's approx 42in square.

I thought the spiral quilting *might* take me an hour or two, but it ended up being over 6!!  I finally finished hand sewing on the binding last night and it is done...yay!

I am making altered Silver Spoons for my Spoonie friends
Here is my first attempt (the red one has a Carnelian in the bowl and clear microbead glitter set in diamond glaze... the bottom one may still get some kind of gemstones mounted in the bowl

(what is a spoonie?) http://www.butyoudontlooksick.com/articles/written-by-christine/the-spoon-theory-written-by-christine-miserandino/
I have arthritis and Chronic fatigue Syndrome so this makes a lot of sense to me and I have many friends with similar issues.. I want them to always have "an extra spoon"

I love the spoons story! I also have chronic pain... Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which has caused Fibromyalgia severe spinal conditions as well as acute inflammatory arthritis! I love the spoons story.. The people in my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome groups always refer to "needing extra spoons!" So when I saw this in the recent with photos I had to come over and tell you I love your spoons! ^__^ I have always thought that I wanted to make a spoon bracelet soooo bad LOL This idea of yours has my mind spinning in different directions Cheesy Maybe I can come up with a lovely gift idea to give to one of my fellow "Zebra's" Cheesy Thanks for sharing!
