ehinders, what did you use to weight the blanket? That sounds like something I would like for myself.

I used poly pellets. I ordered them online...hmmm..can't seem to find the name of the place I ordered them from right now, but several places have them. The ratio for a weighted blanket is supposed to be your weight divided by 10, plus one pound. (e.g. Maddy is 25 lbs. so divided by 10 and plus 1 is is 3.5 lbs.)

Here's a tutorial I was inspired by if you are really interested:

I keep meaning to make bath fizzies, and then keep forgetting to get citric acid at the start of the pay month lol.

I made a dragon for a charity auction, the winner got to make a custom dragon request, and she asked for "Stop and smell the roses"

Thanks everyone for the feedback re crafting time.  My house is already a mess but there are certainly other things i can let go.  I like the idea of allotting some time each day to crafting.  After a full day at work time slips through my fingers if i am not deliberate.  Love the weighted blanket!!

I grew up with the saying "A messy house is the sign of a creative mind" Grin

Yep.  Crafting time is more important than vacuuming the carpet.

So many great projects.  Love the material you used for the weighted blanket.

There is a store in a design studio here that sells all kinds of used and donated art supplies, ReUse Market (Boise Idaho) also sells design studio stuff, this includes "Tip" sheets which are samples of wall vinyl wall coverings in different textures.  Most of the sheets have one large piece and a dozen or so smaller pieces in different colors (mostly neutral) and I plan to save a large piece and a small piece to use for sculpy texturing but the rest I am using for Faux tiles on books and boxes for gifts
Here is the first one I made for a sick friend

Awwww, that little dragon is so adorable!

As for finding time to craft, I'll do that over housework any day!  I pick up when I start losing things or the dog's life is at risk due to an impeding stuff-alanche.  Plus, I craft when I watch TV, and as a baseball fan, there's a LOT of TV to watch...  Cheesy

I'll put my hand up as another one who puts housework to the back burner! Cheesy compound crafting with rather watch my baby play and we're lucky to have dishes clean that we need for that night's tea!

Yep, my room can be a mess, but as long as I can get to my sewing machine, you'll find me sewing.

But this Thursday we have  a showing of our house {which isn't even listed}, so that means 3 days to get my space completely cleaned up.

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

trina--what a good use of the textured paper!  I have several rolls of the stuff from redecorating my previous home...it was great to cover up bumpy walls and paneling back then...I have tried to think of projects to do with it...thanks for sharing your idea...the textures really do pop with the paint you used!  and, adding additional embellishment is wonderful!

Ah!  And I was doing so good at keeping up!  Everything is awesome.  Love the yellow/gray on that blanket, ehinders, and that hat is pretty epic, Silvermoon.

Love all the creative messes we have here.  I'm guilty as charged, and happier for it.   Cheesy
