Kookaloo_Starr - People who knit socks blow me away! It looks super comfy!

MissingWillow - Love, love, love good home made hot sauce! Yours looks wonderful!

bookstorebabe - great paper beads! They are addictive, aren't they? Coloring the embroidery is such a great idea! I will have to file that idea away for later use...

I picked up my knitting needles this weekend and am vvveeeerrrrryyyyyy slowly knitting....something. It will probably be a cowl of some sort. I bought the yarn forever ago with the intention of making a scarf, but if history repeats itself, the seasons will change multiple times before I finish a full scarf. So, I am setting my sights on something shorter and hope to have it done just in time for the full heat of summer. (I do enjoy knitting, really I do. I am just so painstakingly slow at it - part of why I am always so blown away by people who really knit!)

Astounded by your socks Kookie. I've made one full pair and a couple half done, I just don't have the patience for them  Sad

Really like the paper bead necklace and the Hot sauce looks yummy.

I have finished a cerise hat, but it's away with my Mum and pictureless atm.
I'm working on swap items and so want to post a few, as they're Creepy Cute awesome.
Also working on a crochet pillow for me.

thanks for the compliments on my socks  Cheesy I never thought I would be able to knit "proper" socks but the book I'm using is great and talks you through each line of the pattern with photos of the tricky bits. Easy Knitted Socks by Jeanette Trotman in case anyone is interested in having a go  Wink

Hubby has taken my dawg out for the afternoon so I'm hoping to get a good start on the second sock. I need to learn how to make two at a time, I think that should be my next new technique to tackle, I've learned more new(to me) knitting techniques so far this year then I have in the last 30-something years *LOL* I might graduate from beginner to intermediate this year!

Knitting socks is on my list of things to learn.
I am slowly making progress on my scarf. By the time I finish it it will be spring. There hasn't been much need for a scarf this winter, it has been so mild.
I finished my zig zag quilt top, and there were so many HSTs left over so I decided to make a small purse. I even put in a zipper, which is a new technique for me.
I also had a go at applique, and appliqued a tshirt. Another new technique. I will get pictures up as soon as I find my camera cord(yep, I lost it again)

I'm still living in the land of Chaos, so I haven't been able comment much on what folks have been making.  But everyone is so talented and busy LOL!

I have 2 more off my list now.  I made these for the Functional Stuffie swap.

The wolverine is a cover for a container she wanted to make more interesting.  His full post is here

And this one was made from a glove to hide her eye drops.  It's full post is here

That makes it 5/50 for me.  Thanks for looking Grin

Kookie... I'll be knitting my Uncle a pair of thick cold-weather socks. His sweater is just about finished, I'm half-way thru the last section. There will loads of fisherman's wool left.   I've made mittens and booties when I was young and first learned to knit, but never a real pair of socks! I think there will enough wool left for several pairs. UGH! But if it helps make an old man happy and warm....
Suereal, I hit the Rocks button on your monster containers! I really like the wolverine, it was hard to see the purple one, but I'm sure it's just as cute!

Aw, the robot stuffie is adorable! I'm loving all the plushies!

Okay, a tiny project. Had a small piece of red fabric, with tiny white hearts, not a clue what to do. It became the background in a small frame. I have a Tesla pin up now.
Here he is with some of my other nerdy goodness. he's about atc sized.

link to his post.

Yay for socks! I want to learn to knit mittens first, then convertible mittens, but then I'm hoping to tackle socks!

That's an awesome functional stuffie, suereal!

Here's what I've finished in the past couple of weeks. I have some more that are swap items, and a crapload of WIPs, too.  Roll Eyes

Fishy Valentines for my daycare kids

A pile of granny's daughters that has since been split up and sent out (counting this as 3 projects - 40 for each partner) - some went to moniqueramsey, who's in this craftalong!

Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes (recipe from annies-eats.com) that included a first for me - this was the first time I tried piping the frosting on. It was fun!  Cheesy I mixed the batter a little too long so they were a little dense, but they still tasted good. The frosting turned out awesome so it made up for the cake part.

Here's their thread - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=404793.0
