My latest stamp was a request for someone to give as a gift...

This is the first stamp I have posted that is mounted (I have several small ones that I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of though).

I didn't get any pictures of this before I sent it away, so the new owner sent me some photos. She did very well, but I didn't specify to get pictures of the mounting... I bought some Halloween stamps on clearance at Walmart for $0.25, tore off the labels and stamps from those, mounted my hand-carved stamp on foam, then fixed it to the wood block. I was silly and washed the stamp while the back hadn't dried, so I had to glue on a piece of paper with the stamp image. I hope that the new owner doesn't find it too difficult to clean because of that...

Nice.  I usually end up mounting on plastic - because it's what I have around the dorms.

Maybe I'd repurpose an old stamp like that.  Cheesy

What kind of plastic do you use? And how do you cut it? I had to make this stamp smaller to fit on the base I had. I don't have any cutting tools (other than scissors), so I have been thinking about buying something that I can get a lot of use out of for multiple projects... I just haven't decided what.

It is Speedball easy-carve... The material feels the same as those big white rubber erasers.

I used a dvd case to mount it.  It was temporary, because my service organization needed a stamp for stamping peoples hands for a dance.
