let me start off by saying this is by far the largest quilt i have ever made.
my cousin originally used this pattern for her brother in law's wedding
and when i found out that a friend of mine was getting married, i took on the challenge!

the quilt is originally sized to be for a queen sized bed, so i had to enlarge it to fit a CA king.
a whole heck of a lot of fabric to shove through my machine

my grandma helped me out by doing the quilting on it.
apparently it was nearly too large for her work space as well... oops!

i used the scraps left over to make the binding, worried it would just not be enough
well, i probably have enough binding to make a dozen more of these quilts. oy!

i'm super excited with how it all turned out, regardless of all the handsewing i had to do in order to make the binding look perfect.
blind hem for the win!

and the final quilt! it was so large i couldn't use my normal clothesline method of hanging
so i had to hang it from the rain gutters of the back of our house using binder clips.
hey, it worked, so that's all that matters, right?
