this year i decided i wanted a project to help me get back in touch with old friends, keep in touch with current loves, and create small works of art regularly. i have always loved sending and receiving mail so i decided i would send a postcard every day this year. on sunday nights i make seven cards and then i send them out one a day. i've been recycling different books but this week i wanted to celebrate autumn and use the leaves i've been collecting so i made these cards. i pressed the leaves in books and used packaging tape to preserve and fix them to card stock that i had written on with my smithcorona.

thoughts? ideas for what i should use next? a year is a long time...

They are great, I'd be ever so pleased if I received a postcard like that. Perhaps you could do a similar but different thing one week with found objects (litter to many Roll Eyes), or print photographs of a week's worth of journeys (work, shopping, visiting people, appointments e.t.c.)

I think it's a marvellous idea, do keep on with it and let us know how you're getting on.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

What a great idea. A small goal - seven postcards a week and then the satisfaction of sending them out.
And to all those who receive, a little snippet of what you're thinking about that week. Also, way better than 400 characters on Twitter or Facebook!
